Northside Speedway Press Release
Sunday 11th August sees Northside Speedway Training Track hold the fifth round of the Under 16s British Speedway Youth Championship. Thirty young riders will be battling for success across three categories – 500cc class, 250cc class and the 125cc support class, with over 25 heats of speedway action.
If you are unsure as to the location of Northside, we are tucked away at the edge of Workington in Cumbria. If you intend to be up in Berwick for the FIM World Under 21s Championship, you could travel over the A7 through the picturesque Border region, ready for a 2pm start, then head over the river from Northside to Workington Comets Speedway for their clash against the Scunthorpe Scorpions at 7pm.
Entry to the meeting is £5.00 for adults, and just £1 for children. As Northside is a voluntary, not for profit organisation, you can be sure that every penny of your entry fee will be ploughed back into refurbishing and improving our facilities. Those that visited last year will see that we have added the ‘Jim Roper Executive Viewing Lounge’ and an air fence in the last twelve months. We are fully committed to creating the best designated speedway training facility that Britain has to offer.
