  1. I'm afraid the answer to that is pretty obvious. They are relying on people not bothering and just accepting that they aren't going to get a refund. A bit like airlines with long-delayed flights !
  2. I think it is politely referred to as a con trick, a.k.a. fraud. Is that not part of the problem? While people continue to go back, it will continue to happen Self-confessed fool then? But didn't everyone know that already?
  3. One of the numerous reasons why I no longer spend any of my hard-earned on speedway. It is full of people who are more than happy to do things like this. They wouldn't get away with it in other sports.
  4. And what you post is boring to read. Wish I hadn't and in future I won't
  5. I have to say I agree. Pointless and mind-blowingly boring. Just my view, of course.
  6. 100% on topic! Who are you trying to kid? How about having a look at the title of this thread? Why don't you remove your petty, embarrassing squabble to a more appropriate home? You are, of course, completely right about the heat 15 regulation fiasco. They have shot themselves in the foot so often there can't be much left to aim at.
  7. Christ this has turned into a childish argument. Bet your Dad can beat up his Dad !
  8. Are you really being serious about slow motion replays and the naked eye? If you are, you must be living on a different planet!
  9. I'm sure you are free and able to get your pleasure however you see fit. A look at comments from some of the other contributors on this thread may well give you a clue to a few of the many things that are currently wrong with British speedway.
  10. This type of thing makes the sport in this country even more farcical than it already is. A complete joke!
  11. I may be wrong but I'm not sure if that's what you really mean. Are you, in fact, paying him a compliment?
  12. I am sorry to say that you are absolutely spot on. Couldn't agree more
  13. If you had read a previous post I explained that I occasionally have a few spare minutes when I like to search out a chuckle. This forum fits the bill well. Absolutely right. I first saw speedway at Norwich Firs in 1962. Since then, has the sport in this country ever been in a worse state? So does this all mean that they were trying to cheat then?
  14. It no doubt will as no-one ever listens to what I say !! Absolutely fascinating !
  15. I really do not know what all the fuss is about ! Why not follow the example of hundreds, perhaps thousands of others and find something rather more sensible/appropriate/rewarding to spend your time and money on?
  16. I come on here occasionally when I've got a few minutes to look for a chuckle. I cannot understand why the few remaining followers of speedway in this country don't wake up and smell the coffee. The sport is a shambolic joke. Why on earth waste money on what can only be described as a farce?
  17. It's because he's really poor at starting !
  18. I tell it as I see it. No more, no less. I was almost convinced for a moment by your "continued support of the fans" and "accepting the bad times with the good whilst standing united" statements. Then you went and ruined it all by saying that you left after heat 13. What kind of support do you call that?
  19. For some reason, (I know not why), I decided to pay the AFA a visit tonight. Bad mistake! It most definitely was a lesson in gating from the Aces. The Stars have a real chance of winning something this season - the wooden spoon! Schlein and Korneliussen have provided many years of excellent service to King's Lynn but both look past their sell-by dates. Lambert has promise but has not yet got the all-round ability to be a heat leader. He continues to be handicapped by poor starts and unless he can improve in this area, his progress in years to come will be seriously restricted. The Stars have further problems in that they have the weakest pair of reserves in the league. Huckenbeck looks a useful acquisition and NKI is, of course, sheer class. That's it for this season. Hoping for better in 2017.
  20. Presumably this means that possibly some promoting will now take place after a lengthy absence
  21. I thought he was doing that in most races last season !
  22. A chance for my usual moan about the price of season tickets. Miss one meeting and the financial incentive has gone. And as for fast tracking into the stadium, I think perhaps there won't be too much worry about waiting in queues this year.
  23. I didn't watch him for most of last year. I expect a little bit of value in exchange for my hard-earned.
