I thought the two things (KK going and subsequently finding a place elsewhere) were totally independent of each other. Some cynical people might even suggest that the fiasco in the KL v Poole fixture was a premeditated and deliberate act designed solely to bring about the move mentioned above. Personally, I couldn't even consider such a thought! -
"It would be silly to ride on a dangerous track in a dangerous sport". So how silly were the Poole riders on the night?

Isn't that exactly what he said? Is your PC automatically translating things to a different language? -
Would anyone give either of them a reference for their next job? Think about it then have an "educated" guess

Holder and Batchelor got exactly what they were looking for; i.e. a way out of King's Lynn. Pity for them they were rumbled and it hasn't worked out how they expected.

Both Holder and Batchelor are way past their sell by dates

The armchair watcher of sports. Don't we just love them. Every match/game in whatever sport should take place with absolutely no-one present. What fun that would be. -

Two points:- 1) What's it got to do with the fans? 2) The owner is too busy driving his tractor to worry about things like this. -

But we thank both Michael Palm Toft and Tero Aarnio for stepping in at such short notice and their efforts definitely didn't go unnoticed. "Michael was able to joint top score so fair play to him for that and Tero doesn't get many meetings at this level but he was popping out the starts at times and was always in contention. "I thought Kai rode really well and Thomas Jorgensen was absolutely outstanding. "Those four gave me what I'm looking for and that's what our fans deserve too. "They rode their socks off, they had the right attitude all night long and they gave it everything they'd got - that's all I expect of my riders to be honest. "Of course I'm disappointed with the scoreline but this was always going to be a tough one." Is he implying that someone didn't have the right attitude and didn't give everything they'd got? If that's the case, why not say so and get rid? We all know what's going to eventually happen. -

I'm sorry but you have not got a prayer . I first visited a speedway meeting in the early sixties (at the Firs) and, until last year, I have been a regular at King's Lynn. The Club has become a shambolic joke. The owner talks about the supporters (his customers) being the lifeblood of the Club and then treats them with contempt. There is little or no communication and, as a result, people are leaving in droves. I certainly have no intention of going again whilst the current situation exists. Looking at the wider picture, British speedway is third rate and at the bottom of the pecking order where rider availability is concerned (Wolves and Thorssell situation v Belle Vue tonight being the latest example). The product is poor with the sport being run in an amateurish manner. Some may say it has always been the case but look at any fixture and all you see is "G" and "r/r". Sorry, but I have better things to do with my time and money. -

The problem is that there is a leader/owner/main man who is not able to see the bigger picture. He is incapable of delegating. Should he really be concentrating on driving the tractor and fixing the track when someone who knows what they are doing should be handling this side of things? He surely should be overseeing the whole show, ensuring that contact with the lifeblood (the supporters) is maintained and that things are running smoothly. He takes his eye off the ball and gets involved in things that others could be doing. I'm not sure why I'm writing this because I threw in the towel a long while ago, sick to death with the absence of any sort of entertainment and the contempt shown to supporters. No more! Why have PR? That costs money. Why employ someone to prepare the track properly? That costs money. Why keep your customers informed? That costs money. He seems to give 100% when he is guesting for Swindon! You wouldn't see Abramovich cutting the grass at Stamford Bridge before a game. -

Why oh why does the Club owner (the top man in British speedway) insist on riding around on a tractor. Couldn't this task be delegated to someone who knows what they're doing? When was the last time you saw Mourinho mowing the pitch at Old Trafford? What's the point of continuing to support something that is rubbish and doesn't provide entertainment. I can stay at home and have as much enjoyment watching my grass grow for no cost. Absolutely correct, of course. Why don't you just grasp the nettle and tell her your girlfriend's name?
