  1. Here is one from Old Meadowbank http://ssa.nls.uk/film.cfm?fid=5853&se...earch_fuzzy=yes
  2. Limited lifespan in your career, got to earn as much as you can as quick as you can and invest it wisely without compromising your machinery(which if good enough will keep you at the top long enough to earn a zloty or 2)
  3. Try this link and use a translator to get the info you need - http://www.russpeedway.ru/ Happy hunting
  4. Very surprised by Chris Holder, I must say. Darcy does not surprise me at all after his comments at the PLRC, but he is still only a kid
  5. Really enjoyed the drama yet again, shame about the rain at the end. Chris Holder was hot today. But congrats go to zielona gora on the day. Their team manager sure needs a bath after those celebrations
  6. Of course they have not came out and stated it, does not mean that its not true, though. The riders have been complaining for years about slick GP tracks, the fans have been complaining about it for years, but nothing has changed. Why is that?
  7. The quality of tracks for GP'S will not improve as the Sponsors do not want their advertising boards covered in shale. The quicker they fill the centre green with adverts as they do in the Extra Liga the better!! Until then expect slick tracks in abundance. Sadly Money Talks
  8. Thanks for all the info kiwi. Just had a good read for half an hour, good to know that speedway is alive and well in New Zealand
  9. Great minds think alike That would be my preferred choice as well
  10. He will be back ok. The man is class, but like all of us has strengths & windows of opportunities. We saw both last night : Strengths - that amazing 1st & 2nd bend move to go from last to 1st in one of his heats was for me breathtaking to say the least Windows - parking his bike on track after suffering a huge disappointment & behaving a bit petulantly I am sure if we all look at ourselves we have great strengths & windows of opportunity. I am sure that Tomasz will learn from this and come back even bigger & better that before. Both Jason & Nicky have done it and achieved that highly sought after goal- to be World Champion. If I examine my own conscience I am sure I have did a lot worse than park my bike at the start gate
  11. Agree entirely, they must be seen to be consistent as rider contempt is bad for the image of speedway
  12. Now that's better. I always knew that once the red mist clears you can be spot on with your views A bit like myself really I think that a hefty fine may well be coming Tomasz's way.
  13. Admittedly Snyper, his actions last night were unsavory to say the least, regarding parking his bike on the track which was a stupid and dangerous thing to do, I agree. But have a heart me old mate. You want to take all of his prize money away and ban him from the series altogether Now if you were the race director looking back over the 11 rounds this year, you would also need to ban Emil & Scotty for the "rumble in the jungle in Cardiff" and various other riders for taking opponents out There would be nobody left to watch mate Have a heart, we want to see them all strutting their stuff in next years GP Series & we can wax lyrical on the controversial events yet still to come
  14. Well done tonight Leigh, for a minute I thought you were going to get it!! A true gentleman, you will be missed in the SGP
  15. A true grit performance. Well done Jason you thoroughly deserved it

  17. My big favourites in the 60's were:- My boyhood hero Reidar Eide - the king of Coatbridge Bernie Persson Sjoren Sjosten - fantastic riding style Charlie Monk - he rode for the auld enemy, but he was class little boy blue- Nigel Boocock Martin Ashby - he was great at Coatbridge Olle Nygren Ole Olsen Ivan Mauger Oyvind Berg George Hunter Ray Wilson John Boulger Bertola Harkins Jimmy McMillan I only wish I still had my little red autograph book with all their signatures and pictures in
