It’s just a case of wait and see.GB don’t seem to be pro- active in securing deals and signing riders.Nobody seems to know what is happening next season yet.we need to put pressure on riders to make up their mind instead of waiting to see who’s left over.
-
The BSPA just create their own problems.IMO.If the Promotions had already been told that they would be able to field the same riders for next season they should not go back on their word.If there are stronger Teams in the league so be it.Teams on paper don’t win anything it’s on the track that matters.

Polish Extraleague 2020
Fromafar replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Think the pressure of the sport gets to him quite a lot of the time ,so maybe the break will help.I think he has probably realised his level.Never mentioned if he had employment this year. -

That’s Cook though,he has mental issues hovering over him.His main one is that he is not as good as he thinks he is.There is always something to make an excuse about. -
at least he is getting a decent Christmas Lunch. and a few more !!

Excellent Post.100% agree.
-
Very difficult to get a deliberate difference in the Standards of the leagues these days, not enough Top Men and can’t see that changing in the near future.
-
I agree about 41point limit. There Will be some Teams stronger than others, but that’s happened in the past it’s the entertainment factor that matters.Dropping riders to suit points limit is not the way forward.
-
He was thinking self interest as usual with BSPA.
-
It’s been proved many times averages don’t lie. There have been a few exceptions but mainly from up and coming riders.IMO
-
agree ,and at his age and with previous injuries not a great decision to race again IMO. Wish him the best of luck though.
-
Was never a fan of him, thought he was overrated ,but after listening to him it was obvious he liked the Continent for his racing style. It also highlighted the standard of rider he was up against in GB and was overshadowed a bit,he certainly knew how to promote himself to the Max and had a great career in the sport.I agree with his assessment of how the sport has went in GB.Got the impression he disliked Reg Fearman and after reading his book ,I came to the conclusion that he(Fearman) no interest in Promoting the sport, he was a cash in and get out at most of his ventures.
-
Given the perceived shortage of riders, and the farce of many riders “ doubling up as well as guesting” would one league not be the sensible answer for the sport in GB promoting the the young talent into the league. Revamp and start again is the answer IMO.

Good interview from John Davis, his straight talking is what I like.

MORE POLISH LEAGUE INTERFERENCE
Fromafar replied to Gunner85's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The Polish League’s are going to be pretty competitive regarding signing Foreign Riders any Brits fancying their chances of decent money there compared to Home in GB better watch what they are signing up too.IMO There have been a few ripped off over the years( and they were top men). -
Thanks
-
Where can I find these interviews? Please.

Given the average age of a speedway supporter, I fear attendances will struggle to return to normal after this pandemic.Age and Employment will be a big factor.Certainly can’t afford to charge the current admission prices if they “ water down “the Leagues like they are hinting. While I am not against a revamp with young riders given their chances ,but they should not be paying “ silly money for them to ride, things have to put into perspective.IMO.
-
That’s probably above the normal attendance level at most Tracks, so we should be OK then to return to normal.
