The starting Marshall signals to the Ref that the riders are line up,then proceeds to walk away ,their will be a slightly longer delay until he clears the back wheels before ref releases the tapes.Its called the Sarjeant rule The difference being the ref will put the green light on before the ref walks away whereas before the light was put on after the ref walked away hence a longer delay.

Wallinger talks a good game, very much doubt he will bring it to the track.

Just read that Dennis McCleary is stepping down as Co promoter and cutting back on his work with Bandits and Football,wish him all the best,his contribution to the Speedway over the years was immense and will be greatly missed.A gentleman IMO.

Luke Ruddick signed for Berwick last year,don’t know if he is on loan to Edinburgh or they have bought him though.

I think the attendances have increased at Glasgow but not to the level the Promotion were the expecting.They certainly have gave it their best shot regarding improving facilities and trying to make it attractive for kids who are the future supporters.

It’s only in Speedway where your punished for giving your all for your Team all season.It cannot be taken seriously as aProfessional Sport these days,like people say 4 guys 4 laps if your entertained fair enough but we are not attracting many new fans .Will see how this season pans out .#hit or Bust for a few Clubs season IMO.

It’s the manipulation that goes on after the season start that bugs me,then from 3/4 way through the seaso riders are starting to prepare for the next season with their average. Richie Worrell being an example,after what I read a few weeks ago.

It’s time they done away with averages,and had a broad banded Grading system,at least it would stop all this manipulation that’s going on at times.Rolling averages have helped but even they have their faults.

I have no idea what they put in!.Just pointing out that Major Companies don’t seem to want to be involved in our sport nowadays.Edinburgh openly admitted they lose money every year as do most tracks IMO.

No disrespect to the Staggs Bar and I am sure their Sponsership is very Welcome,but it does show how much the sport has declined when that is the level of Sponsership nowadays.Not many big Companies investing in the sport,showing the decline in the sport IMO.Again no disrespect just an opinion.t

Considering the lack of fixtures over the season nowadays it just proves the shambles the sport is in regarding planning also with Monarchs having to go to Scunthorpe in cup 2 nd round as first fixture very poor Imo.
