Berwick V Newcastle - Live On Sky - May 21st
Fromafar replied to luluthetiger's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think most people agree the Promotion done Berwick proud in promoting the sport in the area, however it is common knowledge that Speedway as a sport is going through tough times if last nights meeting doesn't tempt fans back then who knows what the answer is .The unfortunate thing is the Team is struggling, again mainly through injuries and not much luck. A winning Team means a lot to sports fans these days espiecially new younger fans.So we need to get back on track regarding Home results.I disagree with Chris Louis assessment that Berwick have big Home advantage as most riders appear to fly round if they hit the front.Ian Rea was correct in his assessment that we should be gating and riding better 1st Bends. Here's hoping the crowd levels improve after last nights meeting. -

Im sure Pearson said that Edward was on a 1month loan,So perhaps Ricky will be back before Berwicks next Home meeting. -

Berwick should be glad if Newcastle presented an under strength Team otherwise they would have be humiliated.who said speedway rules are not stupid!!! Just what we need a:different guest every week don't think that will bring the crowd flocking back . -

The one thing everybody agrees on is if a couple of metres could be chopped off the football pitch on the entry and exits to the bends it would be a sensational track, unfortunately this is very unlikely to ever happen which is a shame.I agree regarding Kerr most impressive even when under pressure from Aspregren. These Moto -Cross boys can gate and hold there own on the first bend, which is handy. -

I Personaly was disappointed with Kennett a rider of his experience should have been able to dial into the track for his later races, unlike Kozza and Matty who bust a gut he just went through the motions IMO although the track did slicken off in the later heats and made passing difficult ,maybe a track grade and a light water would have helped. -

Complin rode for Berwick though it was not a league match.Paul Clews ran into him when he slid off on the 3rd bend and Complin broke his arm -

I agree regarding his fall, plus any rider can fall at any time but I think he should have attempted to clear the track.Kozza is an example of sportsmanship bearing in mind the speed he went down he made the effort for the race to continue .Well done Kozza. -

I agree as part of the Promotion it was not very clever. Now if he had won the race you could understand it. -

The fancy dress is a 2horse race between Taffy-and his Bandana and Big Ed with his long coat and Sunglasses. They will have to dress~down to lose IMO. -

You would have to say that the change of date could have had implications for BOTH Teams when this fixture was arranged. So no point of putting the the blame on any one Promotion in this case.IMO. -

It appears they are only on sale during track grading at the 4th bend due to Health and safety rules .I hasten to add it is nothing to do with the quality of the said pies. -
The promoters don't seem to understand why fans are deserting the sport but IMO speedway can only be taken as a casual night out and hope there is some entertainment to be had, the whole idea of Your team of seven riders winning something is just fiction with all the rules that are make up as they go along.

Mitchell Davey Joins The Monarchs
Fromafar replied to ekimba's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think Mitchell is a stlylish guy on the bike ,if he could show bit ruthlessness in his riding I think he could go along way. A good guy and I hope he can have a bit of success in the sport. -

Fromafar replied to remembertheracers's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I still like prefer the new format. -
Think they are cut it back monthly by removing some matches each month [think I read somewhere it was 3 matches but could be wrong.

Edinburgh V Glasgow (lc) 10/5/13 @ 7.30pm
Fromafar replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
For someone so young he is smooth and effortless on the bike rides sensibly and will be a very good rider with a season under his belt. A Great talent IMO.Reminds me of Leigh Adams when he first arrived doesn't make rash moves. -
Considering he has not even turned a wheel for them it is not a surprise IMO.
