Does Derek Sneddon Know? : Redcar
Fromafar replied to Porterpoolie's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
A stunning piece of useless information -
I would have Barret and Dyer as I stated in a previous post, bur Dyer in particular will be much sought after IMO,The point I was making it is better to gamble on an unkown 5pt man than sign guys that have been round the block on a so called "false average". IMO we persevered will King to long last season maybe they would make changes if found in the same situation again" who knows."
-
So answer the question what would YOU prefer .I dont see any 5 point riders that stick out.
-
If he scored well from reserve he would be back in the team though!!
-
Like I quoted on another Topic IMO this "false average " is just a myth. That IS their average. In the case of Wilko and Schramm did they also start this season on a false average? . If they did , why would next season be a false average. They have both been around too long IMO.

Workington V Berwick - Outstanding Fixture

You are a 1st class plonker. -
Ok no gambles, so we will stick with Jason King or Klaus Jacobson at least we know what they will score.
-
This saying" A steal on his average" is a bit of a myth IMO. That IS his average.
-
I would dispute that it lacks ambition, but it is a gamble . The rules of speedway means that Promotions have to take a chance and find riders who might be a future prospect in the sport and bring them in on a low average. The sport needs a radical shake -up IMO. How can you predict how Albin will fare and least he is young and keen which is a better gamble than a Jason King type signing. I have always maintained the "averages" are killing the sport and I stick by that statement.
-
Hard to judge Albin on what we seen ,but he will have another season in Argentina before next season so he could improve significantly in the close season" who knows"

Workington V Berwick - Outstanding Fixture

The Berwick website states 27th if we dont qualify or Sun 28th if we do qualify,so unless the weather puts it off it looks like it will be run.Bearing in mind Workington will get fined if the don't complete their fixtures they will try to run it IMO -
I think we need to get to the end of the season before we think anything regarding next season, that way will will have the correct Green sheet averages

Is Speedway Too Expensive Now ?
Fromafar replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Is there a standard rate of points money in the Promoters guidelines,or is there a minimum rate written down anywhere. -

In the context that we don't get to the play-off Final yes .Otherwise 28th -

Its on Bandits Website ,and if we get to the Play-offs Finals it will be the put back to the 28th at Worky -
The track was not good for racers like Holder IMO.Nicki just stuck too the midtrack slick line and got a shock when MJJ past him on the inside.MJJ rode that line all night with success.
-
Thats probably true after the season that they have just had IMO
-
Machin is a Promoter who can see where the sport is going but can't seem to do anything about it.You can't blame him if he is not willing to lose a lot of money paying over the odds to run the sport.

I find it strange that the future is decided by how many people turn up at a Hotel. If 600or700 hundred turn up where are they going to put them all. After all the is near enough what crowd levels have to be at PL level.Would it not be a better Idea to address the crowd at Ashfield and tell them whats going on.A more realistic option IMO. Lets face it they already know what has happened at the club.Whatever the outcome I wish the Tigers have a successful takeover
