  1. Good to see that the 2 juniors escaped with lesser injuries than first feared, wish them a speedy recovery it really did look a bad one.The medical Team done an excellent job IMO.
  2. changing the track every week till you get it right is not the answer IMO.make it the same every week and tell the riders to adapt to it.
  3. The track should be prepared for the start of the season, you cant wait till half way through the season to get it right, there will be nobody left to watch it at this rate.
  4. Edinburgh were the better team and deserved their win .thought Barrett improved as the meeting went on and got used to the track that was different again from last week. Edberg was woeful and there has to be concerns regarding his form.one question I have ask about track prep is ,Why is the outside line into the 3rd bend prepared with so much dirt on the outside going into the bend when none of the riders are prepared to use that part of the track until very late in the meeting after it has been graded all night, surely it would benefit the entertainment if riders were prepared to use it All meeting. This is only my observation and their might be a valid reason for this though watching tonights GP the riders were using all of the track for all of the meeting.Hope the 2 juniors that had nasty falls tonight are not to badly injured and wish them a speedy recovery.
  5. Steady On dont make rash decisions on such an important issue.
  6. After reading the article in SS I think the Management should prepare what THEY think is a raceable track and tell the riders that THEY should adapt to the track instead of experimenting week in week out, you will never keep 7 riders happy regarding track prep, If the track is consistant each week that is all the Management can do for their part.IMO the racing has been poor this season for whatever reasons.I know the weather has not been kind to track prep so far this season can only hope it improves to help track prep.
  7. Perhaps if Ricky was not 100% we should have used a Guest in such an important fixture .There again perhaps he was ok who knows. At the end of the day we are out of the KO Cup good luck to Redcar.
  8. Berwick might be Horse Mince is that better or worse
  9. What about if you highest average reserve is missing as happened at Glasgow last week for the Tigers (Garrity)
  10. Would just like to congratulate Kelvin on what I consider to be an excellent column in the Star this week.Hope it is going to be a regular future. His opinions on the mechanical side of the sport are an excellent addition to the magazine IMO.
  11. Do you not think Edinburgh will win at Glasgow in the League Cup which will surely dent our chances irrespective of Saturdays result.
  12. Difficult match to predict, but I fancy Monarchs might just be too strong for us in Heat leader department.Result is not that important as long as it is an entertaining match IMO.
  13. Old Meadowbank- George Hunter ,Charlie Monk ,Ivan Mauger,Reider Eide.
  14. But WHY is the fan base dwindling that is the question, not the grumpy old me who bore the t*ts of you on a SAT..
  15. Without the fans there would be no sport as you know please explain why the fans are deserting the terraces, the ones that attend may moan but at least they attend,it is the missing fans that are not moaning they are making there feelings known (whatever the reason ) with their feet. You are entitled to your opinion as is anyone on this forum whether you get pelters or not
  16. Most fans that attend will agree that the TEAM is not the problem at this stage of the season.
  17. If there are no crowds to watch the PL season what will happen.
  18. Have to agree no excuses from Bandits I would imagine. Dyer is certainly a prospect IMO. I dont think Berwick fans will get wound up about the result I think there are bigger issues to address.IMO
  19. Good post,if that is how the riders want the track to be prepared it could be damaging from the entertainment factor most races were settled coming out the 1st /2nd bend which is becoming the norm at a lot of tracks from what we are reading. When Alden can win 4 races by the lenght of the straight pulling wheelies for 3laps then cant pass Dyer in heat 15 it say it all. Barret beats Dyer in his 1st two races then is the length of the straight behind him i another without any obvious mistakes what does that tell the supporters.I dont what the promotion think of tonights performance but IMO early season or not it might have adamaging effect on the crowds whatever spin is put on it by certain people.
