S W C - Who Will Be Picked For Uk
speedy17 replied to michaelcroucher's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I'd go with Tai, Bomber, Cook and Kerr at Lynn. Bridger for Kerr in Bydgoscz, and depending on how Cook rides at Lynn potentially take him out for King. -
Well said that German. Doing nothing wrong at all. Notice it's Nicki P leading the complaints. Once finds out it's perfectly legal watch him make the change too. Say what you want about Smolinski I think he's been a breath of fresh air this year!
-
all these riders having a pop at Smolinski on twitter because he's so enthusiastic. Come back and have a pop when you've won a gp.
-
Best track - Peterborough/Kings Lynn/Sheffield. Worst track - Glasgow Best food - Mildenhall fish & chips! Worst food - Probably Ipswich. Best facilities etc. - Prague, £1 a pint?! Can't beat that! Worst - Ipswich or Glasgow.

New Zealand Gp.

Just brilliant isn't it, the man completely wrote off, a lot like Tai lasts season, comes out and wins the opening GP! By the way I'd go as far as saying that's booked his place for next season too, when was the last time a rider who won a GP wasn't back in them the season after, by not qualifying for the top 8? -

My flight from Stansted to Prague is between 7-10 so hopefully when I land GB will be in the final! -

I've got Woffy, Ward, KK and Iversen, at least 3 of them in the final! -

People still don't get it do they? 'Time to pick a track where GB have the advantage' Righty'o we'll go to a Wolves or a Belle Vue, maybe scrape a win and then get hammered in the final or Bronze at best for the next 5 years... Don't people see the problem isn't a track or team manager? It's the fact GB are a million years behind a nation like Denmark when it comes to developing youngsters. And this lies with the BSPA! Rob Lyon a few years back was doing it right, until the BSPA put the chocs on and completely stopped it all. Now Rob has been made a co-promoter i hope they can form a serious challenge to overhaul the money grabbers with no interest in the sport with the likes of Jon Cook as something is CLEARLY wrong. Ok, so we have Robert Lambert and Adam Ellis coming through. But look at the Danes and the poles, look at the World U21 Championship lineup this year, Danes, Poles no Brits. Denmark's second team last night of Andersen, Kildemand, Madesen and Mikkel B would have probably beaten GB last night. Something drastic needs to change if this countries Speedway ever wants to become GREAT Britain again, and it starts this winter at the very top, time for some very wealthy/greedy people to sort it out or jog on. -

I think Bjerre and Jepsen Jensen might not have it as easy as the other 2 danes. GB COULD give them a fright IF they are all firing. Would like to see the Yanks get third. -

I disagree. The racing at Lynn in the last couple of seasons has been better with a slick track. Last year's world cup the track was slick and was probably the best meeting of the whole competition. If it's grippy nowadays at lynn its just who can gate and ride the fastest line. -

I honestly think they can. Ljung, Nermark and Davidsson v Hancock, Fisher and Wells, I'd say the Yanks edge it, Andersson and Manzares will both struggle. -

Team GB Profiles Tai Woffinden - Classy performer. Craig Cook - On the up. Chris Harris - On the down. Edward Kennett - Awful unless he finds the nearest B&Q to the stadium. -
Who Should Be In Gb World Cup Team?

There is a serious chance of a Bronze medal up for grabs here. - Get to the race-off by hook or by crook. - Drop Kennett and maybe even Cook, bring in Barker/Bridger/King - Beat the Aussies - Comfortably beat The Czechs I only say maybe drop Cook if he struggles a bit at Lynn can't see him pulling up any Tree's at a track like Prague, you need big Engines for a place like that. Hopefully GB do make the final as I'm out there for the final and don't really want to be a Pole/Dane for the night! -

Makes you wonder what sort of reception Kennett will get if he's struggling at Kings Lynn. -

Does anyone think that we could win the race-off? Australia without Holder. Russia without Emil. Sweden just weak all over. Dump Kennett for probably King for the race off and we could sneak it? Or wishful thinking... -

If the BSPA backed Rob Lyon with his plan for the future rather than, nah let's stick with the gash we have now and balls to the future then Rob would still be there and not picking Kennett, and possibly Harris. However he won't be going back anytime soon, if you could tempt Peter Adams to do it then he'd be the man, next in line Phil Morris. Hope you don't hit your head too hard. -

In what way? Can't wait to see Kennett at Prague. Getting right up on his handlebars entering the corners and killing any momentum whilst everyone else goes sailing round him or pulls further away. Would rather see Screeny. -

Barker, Worrall, King, Bridger should all be infront of Kennett on EL and PL form, and also on Kings Lynn experience. Not to mention the fact he's a convicted cheat. Woeful choice.
