  1. Track shapes are the biggest problem IMO mixed in with the standard of rider. Look at the Swedish tracks and some Polish tracks, the straights aren't that long and the tracks really wide, this formula 9 time out of 10 produces good racing. Also in Sweden, Poland and the PL over here the quality of the riders is a lot closer. The gaps between the heatleaders and second strings is amplified on a track like Kings Lynn. Surely it's no coincidence the best race of the night was Heat 15 where the best 4 riders on show for the night were virtually under a blanket all race. Watch a Swedish, Polish or a PL meeting at a track like Peterborough, Somerset, Sheffield or a couple more where you have the balance of quality in riders and a wide track with long bends and shorter straights and you have a good meeting.
  2. I reckon the list of possible riders to replace Bjerre is being drafted as we speak. He was riding with just Lambert after the meeting and Lambert was all over him, don't see what it really achieved other than his bikes are quick enough, but as soon as anyone get nears him he shuts off. Klindt was doing that a couple of seasons back and he didn't last long. 1 point tonight and that was a gift with Kylmo packed up, absolutely shocking.
  3. Was always the problem keeping the same top 5, last year it stood out, this year everyone else has caught up again. Bjerre only cares if he makes the gate, if he's last he won't even attempt to make a pass, bloody piss poor from a supposed GP calibre rider. Wonder if the management will tap up Protasewicz next week at this European club tournament we're going to come stone last in...
  4. Got a feeling we're going to be poor away all season. Get Bjerre out, what a waste of space, 3 points around Swindon? Pathetic.
  5. I'm fed up with all this rider safety nonsense. Yes i appreciate the entertainment they provide and hope none get injured. But it's becoming more and more that if a track isn't like a snooker table the toys come out of the pram. It's their Job to perform! Last night it wasn't a snooker table, and some kicked off about it. If Morris is no longer the director after this week I'd love to know what the riders said.
  6. This must be the biggest coffin in history with the amount of nails going in it... I'm in Warsaw and still struggling to get over what happened last night, a complete disaster. The tapes fiasco is the most amateurish thing i have ever seen in a speedway meeting, it was clear the elastic was at fault and with no spare whoever declared that starting gate good to go should be shafted. Then you come to the track, there was a noticeable rut on the first bend which was the problem in practice, so how the track staff couldn't get the track to be top notch is also an embarrassment. The riders, albeit not all of them, should also be looking at themselves in the mirror, that track was nowhere near the standard of Cardiff from previous years where there was ruts everywhere. The green light start other than when Doyle jumped actually worked even if it did look alien. The riders walked all over the likes of Morris etc calling rider meetings to eventually chuck the towell in should never have been allowed. Pedersen and Hancock and a couple of others never wanted to ride as soon as they were losing points through the track, well sorry but that's not on, the riders who wanted to ride should have carried on and it would have showed who was willing and who weren't, the racing was actually getting decent right before the call off. And to save a complete riot from happening they sent Gollob out to calm the crowd down and do some sort of heroes send off. LOL. Wish I hadn't bothered with it all, won't be going abroad to a GP in a very very long time.
  7. No matter what you say about the track, this Lakeside team should be ashamed at this showing, at least make a start so they have to pass you...
  8. My worries about Bjerre continue... think he'll be fine at home but underwhelming away.
  9. Surely the track will be like a newly rolled carpet at the start of a season? This is Poole speedway remember people, the crem dela creme! Anything otherwise would surely tarnish the clubs gleaming reputation...
  10. No league meetings after the Warsaw GP then by the looks of it?
  11. Got tickets in K11. Am i right in thinking the pits are viewable from inside the stadium?
  12. When are the fixtures announced? hoping Torun will be at home the day after the Warsaw GP.
  13. Oh maybe not, Janowski in then! Means they might boot the Hampel out now, happy days
  14. Kildemand proving he's as thick as pig squit. When you're on 8 points and in second, why on earth would you chuck it away trying to gain an extra point which probably won't be needed? Baffling.
  15. Mads and Kildemand join Pedersen and Iversen. Well chuffed for Mads
  16. So when we inevitably make the race off, and say Stead or King don't perform that well, are we still assuming Bridger will get a call being the only rider to ride in Poland this season out of everyone else? As now he's been sacked, I'm not sure if he actually owns any Polish equipment as most is owned by the clubs.
