King's Lynn V Leicester (29.07.15)
Star Fever replied to em1500uk's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
you stated that it was not compulsory to go watch the restaging!! THAT is what i'm disputing because dedicated speedway supporters rarely choose to miss a match if at all possible!!! Obviously nobody had value for money tonight whether 9 or 10 heats were completed.but at least they wouldnt have to spend even more on the restaging IF a result had been declared after 10!!! -

That is of course very true but short-sighted because dedicated supporters tend not to want to miss any match if at all possible!! -
Well credit where credit is due....Kenneth Bjerre certainly deserves it after tonight Great to see him back to his best Good stuff too from the other Stars (particularly the other 2 Danes!) to cover for our missing pair. Reserves too tried hard without always succeeding. Hope Lewis is OK after his fall, (and of course well done too to Max Fricke for a sterling performance (though ease off a bit next week please?)

Not very close at all I'd guess with Lambert and Milik missing.....will obviously depend on quality of guests ....and of course whether Bjerre* is back to his gating best *[Will the promotion EVER admit that he needs to be 'rested'?.... because his continued presence in the team must be letting the rest of the side down and bad for morale?? (I'm not holding my breath on any of these happening admittedly )]

I think thats a safe bet after tonight's debut! Awesome display really got the crowd going Can't believe Poole didn't recall him but its their loss! Thx Mr Ford The rest of the team responded very well too...great to see Niklas & Ashley getting stuck in and looking much more confident, and Kenny too much improved! Thankfully another dubious exclusion for Robert didn't stop us giving Lakeside a good hammering after their fortunate win last week, so well done Stars -
Lakeside V Kings Lynn 19.06.15
Star Fever replied to tellboy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Whilst not entirely disagreeing the result of heat 14 was just unfortunate/ unlucky. We were still in with a shout of a point howeverbut heat 15 was certainly a disapointment ....and NKI and Robert are our best two riders atm!!! -
Personally I was qyite happy to have an interval as theres usually a queue at the disabled wc It didnt hurt the Pirates either unfortunately....gave them an opportunity to regroup (or perhaps they were all bursting for one too!
-
Wow I was so wrong about the outcome of this meeting! Absolutely awesome display from the Stars tonight...our skipper would have been proud Much improved showings from Niklas and Ashley..... a great comeback for Lewis and of course some amazing stuff from Robert gave Lynn a totally unexpected (by me anyway!)12 point lead after 7 heats! Poole immediately hit back with a TR but even that was pegged to 3-6 only. Unfortunately for Lynn though the Pirates never threw in the towel and battled back to gain a deserved away point, their 5-1 over NKI and Rob in heat 11 doing the most damage...:/ A Thoroughly enjoyable meeting however and very satisfying to get the 3 points after all the bad news this week well done all you Stars
-
No idea what your on about but yes ppl would stay away MAYBE if the track was as bad as you think, but Lynn's track is still better than most even on a bad day! What would definitely deter fans though is watching their depleted team losing and/or struggling every wee k because the promotion didnt attempt to strengthen! Hopefully after tonight's almost inevitable loss to Poole something will be done...and quick!

Coventry Bees V King's Lynn 25th May 2015
Star Fever replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well its debatable whether Bees would have won anyway' to be totally fair!! Unfortunately we won't ever know as injuries deprived everyone from seeing what would have been an even closer contest!! Of course Lynn have some weak points but if most of the team (given the chance) can ride to their best then we're virtually unbeatable IMO. Regrettably another injury infested season looks lke we'll never know -
Coventry Bees V King's Lynn 25th May 2015
Star Fever replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
good heavens!! it gets worse!! (taken from bspa official website) ...... Coventry boss Gary Havelock said: “I’m very pleased - obviously they were slightly depleted but at the end of the day there’s four riders in a race and you can only beat the other two guys you’re at the tapes with. "slightly" depleted??? what a moron ... seems he'd be happy racing against depleted teams every week!! -

Star Fever replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
omg you didnt seriously txpect anything else surely !!!!??? good stuff from NKI and MPT yes but with 3 of our regulars injured and Lambert not fully fit I'm surprised Cov didnt get 60 at least Looks like this could be yet another season ruined by injuries for the Stars ..... -
Stars V Wolves - Wed 13 May
Star Fever replied to pointsmeanplayoffs's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well that was an odd meeting....Lynn never in real trouble but certainly not an outstanding performance imo. Thnkfully Robert and Lewis were excellent and probably the main reason the Stars won. Kenneth Bjerre was more like he should be too so that helped! But one or two odd rides from NKI and a nightmare from Niklas meant Lynn never got too far ahead. Luckily we were far enough in front by ht15 though cos Wolves mightve nicked a point at the end with that unexpected 1-5 pretty entertaining meeting tho with several heats of close racing, and good to see Rob and Lewis doing well! -

they could both mean a slightly tougher match than expected imo, particularly KH for MM ...... -
King's Lynn V Coventry 29th April
Star Fever replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yes i'm sure he is!! point i was making was that I hope Rob doesnt pat his head and say 'dont worry, you'll be better soon' He needs to know that his team place is hanging by a thread!! -
King's Lynn V Coventry 29th April
Star Fever replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Indeed...Lewis deserved another ride, and why wasn't Robert in ht 15 for that matter too? I know the meeting was won but Coventry could still have got a point (not that they didn't deserve one but surely the idea is to prevent the opposition gaining anything?) so Robert wouldve been a better bet than Rory for at least a third if Neils hadn't got the win imo. Hopefully Rob wont hold back in letting Kenny know that he's letting the rest of the team down atm!!! -
Belle Vue Aces Vs Kings Lynn Stars 27.4.2015
Star Fever replied to Barrycuda's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Bit disappointing from a Lynn point of view...only Lambert + Kerr impressing imo. Maybe the Polish trip took its toll on the rest of the top 5?, but most of them are used to riding abroad I'd have thought! Robert is riding like an extra heat leader at the moment tho - so its a shame our top 3 aren't exactly backing him up If the TR heat had worked we'd at least come away with a point Well done to BVue tho - ill be surprised if they're not POff contenders. -
Kl Stars Vs Bv Aces Weds 8/4
Star Fever replied to Star Lady's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
yep good close racing and no delays...ironic though as it was actually pleasant weather this week!..... Well done Buster for turning up the heating Good to see Miklas in good form after his troubled start and also Kenny back to his gating best (well apart from ht15 ofc). Only slight worry were the reserves ..maybe riding too much now? Lewis didnt seem to have a lot of speed and although Ash made some good moves he lost positions too :/ Still a good overall performance, but if Zagar had been sharper could have been a closer end result! -
King's Lynn V Poole, Elite Shield, 26/03/15
Star Fever replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well not much to shout about from this meeting unfortunately (it ws too bloody cold to enjoy it! , though there were several good races and good passes from Lambert, NKI and even Kenny Bjerre ( repassing Magic in ht 13).Plus It was at least good to win on the hight . Obviously POole missed Holder but that was partially offset by Stars loss of Niklas. Hopefully Nik isn't too bashed about after Ellis wiped him out as it was certainly a nasty one. Nik was harder to peplace than Holder with r/r anyway imo so that certainly didnt help the Stars. Best wishes to both anyway - not a good way to start the season for either As others have said this wasnt a terribly important fixture but of course would have been nice to win the ES, whatever. The season proper starts next week for Lynn but there were enough bright moments tonight from all the Stars to be optimistic about it, as long as we can keep away from the damn injuries!! -

Dead cheesed that I'm not watching the QFs atm -
Well I haven't added another comment since last night but the thread has got at least 2 pages longer since, so I guess you're wrong BWitcher - its not me who is keeping it alive! Oh and btw - I've never 'bleated about the thread dragging on' so I'm afraid you're wrong again! Have a nice day
-
There isn't a difference necessarily, just that those that call him a 'scumbag waster' for example, are pretty easy to spot as fairly anti-Ward I'd say
-
I'm not supposed to reply to you really, apparently my replies are the reason this thread is so long ...... ....but I'd just like to point out (once again) that I hold just the same opinion as all regarding alcohol in speedway. Most of my posts have been against the anti-Ward posters and their almost insane desire to come down on him like a ton of bricks when it seems clear he has problems and needs help. (sorry BWitcher - I won't do it again - promise)
