Berwick Vs Ipswich 18th

I didn't see that coming, but it was good to see. i know they say you can only take on what is put in front of you and sorry but Ipswich just didn't come to the table last night, except for King, and how must he be feeling. I think next monday will be a stiffer test, but if the team ride like they did last night I think it will be 3 points. Must say a word about out "guest" brilliant -

The first time it was an Edinburgh rider moving second time it was TJ so by rights it should have been 2 warnings -

He wouldn't have been excluded if it had not been for the ref suprised he don't wear a blue and gold coat. When I saw him checking the track I thought well we ain't going to get anything tonight and I was right -

For Sky or any TV company to film broadcast quality footage there are few things that have to be right and one of the most important is lighting and we are lucky at berwick having the football floodlights plus the extras the promotion put on the corners also we have the best studio location going on the 3rd bend

If the riders had to live and run their bikes, van,etc from just their wages they would need double what they are on now, so in one respect people who choose to spend their monet sponsoring a rider are helping the clubs by keeping down the wage levels, this in turn keeps down the money needed by clubs.

Surly the fairest thing would be to seed the holders though to the final -

As an ex member it is St John not St Johns a mistake a lot of people make. I will be interested to see if this is within the rules as it does state a registered ambulance, which I would think this is what it will have to say on the V5, lets face it Berwick were stopped from using the old ambulance one night because its VEL was out of date even though it never leaves the track, but the rules say the ambulance must be road ready, this caused an hours delay while another vehicle was brought up from Alnwick.

The rules must have changed on this as a few years ago it was not allowed at berwick I must disagree with you on that one if you think most accidents at speedway are high speed rtc's and as paramedics deal with these day on day they are the best choice unless you have truma doctor, most gp's never see these type of injuries. I remember 1 doc coming to berrington saying he was not used to this as an ambulance crew and nurses had looked at the casuality before he got to them

Re PA system the speakers on the bends belong to the speedway and these were fitted by mike hope when speedway came back to shielfield they were then upgraded by Alan in the pw era, the speakers in the stands are rangers ones the reason there are 2 amps is that the footballs is in the directors box and the speedway has to have thiets in the refs box. So Taffy is correct in part. As for interviews on the mic part of the problem is a lot of people don't know how to use a mic,you can nearly always here Steve and dick. I was standing right under a speaker when Ben was interviewed and could hardly hear him so not the pa's fault. Also the amount of speakers are limited by the output of your amp and I would think that this is running very close to its capacity -
Berwick V Sheffield - August 15th

In football this would have been classed as a professional foul resulting in a sending off maybe this rule should be adopted in speedway
