I dont think its the covenant its the fact only the stadium is on lease from the NCC the car park area is not included thats why nothing can be done when the circus and Fairground come as they pay ground rent to the council. With BRFC the charge £1 for a 50/50 draw ticket and most people are happy to pay it as they have a chance to getsomething back but for this to work it would have to be pre printed tickets for speed, so that means 50p per car going into funds

This season there have always been 2 ambulance's the problem comes when there's only 1 medic and he has to stay until hand over is done. in the good old days when we had an A&E in Berwick we used to have 2 ambulance's so you could just load and go with a casualty and the 2nd one covered things

Well screm it's a longer recovery time from this type of injury than a break

Berwick ALLWAYS have a proper ambulance, provided by Rapid Reaction, at the track in fact they have 2 the problem we have is the nearest A&E is 50 mile away its ok if your A&E is only 15 mins away, on sat they will have the same set up as the SKY match 2 ambulance's a doctor and a paramedic which will allow the the meeting to carry on unless there are two ambulance jobs at the same time

Well I was in the stadium last week and the water was lying on the track in fact from bend 1 the back straight was looking like a lake at one point the water was about 4ft up the banking on the 4th bend nothing like that last night in fact they didn't even need to sweep any water last night

So how can you make a statement about the track For your information the track was not as wet as last week no big pools this week

I was at football this afternoon and the frack looked good and guess what it was even dry no over watering and up till about 5.00pm it was holding up well then for the next 45mins it chucked it down and that put paid to any speedway tonight

I can assure you this is not the case at Berwick, the cover is well above the minimum laid down by the BSPA all the equipment used is serviced regularly and the senior paramedic keeps a good check on the drugs. The main reason that there is not 2 medics at Berwick is mainly to do with the location and the lack of personel in the area, for some reason the local doctors have never wanted to cover speedway I can remember the problems there was at berrington and we used to get Carlo and his people from Borders coming down to cover the track also we used to get docs from Alnwick this is when Dr Fortune got involved

In one way it was a good thing that an ambulance was called for Matej as at the time of Matty's crash it was still in the car park so was able to get to him quicker if this had not been the case the meeting would have not even got to heat 10

No the ambulance comes from Berwick in fact about 1/2 mile as the crow flies from the track, there are 2 vehciles based here then its Belford then alnwick or we can get support from chirnside over the border never from gala. the main a&e for Berwick is wansbeck but can go to borders or Edinburgh hope this helps
