01/08/2018 : Somerset v Swindon : Premiership

Interesting to see what Rosco's excuse will be for this shambles. -
Rosco said in his after match report that there was no one available to replace Jack Smith. If that's true then speedway is really going down the tube, no one with such a low average around ?
-
So second division Polish racing, didn't think I'd seen him on Premier Sports !
-
Has Morris got a Polish or Swedish team ?
-
How does Jack Smith get an average of 2 ? More like 0

How much longer is Rosco going to stick with Smith ? Hopeless, reminds me of a reserve couple of seasons back who if he didn't fall off he was last ! -
I've not been on the forum for a long time and they seem to change the rules at the end of every season. Why can't we book a guest for David instead of R/R ?

Now I know why we never signed Matej when we should have, Rosco not a fan ? I wonder what the reason was letting Doyley go. -

If Batch & Morris are in that form Monday we are stuffed. Unless Zagar is missing and Scotty has a bad night, -

Anybody know why we put out Zengi in Ht 15 ? He wasn't riding very well and if Hansi hadn't fallen we would have gifted the Bees a point. Also why are we a match short of every one else ? -

Did I miss something last night ? Can't recall Boycie using a sub for the appalling Watt or to a lesser extent Ward. The Aussies were really a 3 man team, if he didn't ring the changes thats as bad as Middlo bringing in Bridger. -
Herbie Hancock

Great result last night, good for you Herbie. It would really be a pleasure if he won this year, nice to have someone cheerful instead of a certain miserable Pole who would probably crack his face if he smiled too often. As for not liking Herbie because he's an American does that apply to Sam E, Billy H, Billy J, Ronney C etc ? -
Which Brit Should Get A Wild Card?

Why are people still talking about a wildcard for Scotty ? I read somewhere that he is not going to compete in the GP's next year even if offered a place. -

He didn't look much in decline on Monday night !!!! -
The Decline Of Leigh Adams
johnno4 replied to geeze's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think Leigh has accepted that he will never be World Champion after slipping back to 6th last year. In 2007 he finished 2nd but that was also the year he had that bad crash at Reading, After that I think he became more cautious not wanting to finish a brilliant career through injury. Last night the track was a joke, they only rode because it was a GP. The only gate that was any good was the inside, Leigh had two outside gates to start with. Two last places, end of GP. -

Great performance from Scotty last night, could see he was really trying just got shoved aside on the first bend. Its a pity our lads don't play the same game. As for this Subedei guy its obvious he's not a Brit, an illegal immigrant out the back of a truck on the M1 I expect. -

As a big Robins fan I always support Leigh in the GP's but I also support our own Brits. You only have to look at the Union and St George flags at Cardiff to see that there are a lot of similar people . Scotty and Bomber may not be the best but they are the best we have. Drop them and the Cardiff GP will suffer as will other GP's viewing figures. Noddy will get his chance perhaps next year as there is a feeling that Leigh may retire from the GP's at the end of the season and for good at the end of 2009. -
I hope the Aussies stuff the Danes but with a track that will be as smooth as a snooker table I am not optimistic. I see fat Ole was at the track last night so I guess the staff have their orders already !! By the way who was responsible for that cock up at Coventry on Monday ? I thought we were riding at home not in Denmark, soon as I saw that track knew we would lose.
-
The chances of him passing Leigh Adams on Saturday were pretty remote and the way Bjane was riding not much better. His chance of making the semi were pretty slim so he took the risk.
-
Thats the way he rides !!! The number of times he tried at the Abbey to put Leigh into the fence when outgated don't bear thinking about. He tried to come across Leigh and Bjane and failed so he went for an 'all four back' does all the time. Win at all costs, one day he will fall off and break his leg, serve him right if he does.
