*I* wonder what on earth I see in speedway sometimes! 7 years of this at Leicester has left me a more casual viewer for the last few seasons. -

To be honest it did improve briefly a year or so ago but it's gone backwards again. Surface isn't anything like as smooth as it used to be either. -

A certain David Hemsley built it whilst everybody else was looking the other way! -

Dave Darcy said (in his usual brusque manner) that some supporters seems to think they know more about the team than him and that Wright was signed for 28 days only and Danny King will be back for the Lions so there. -

He's the best British rider of the past 10 or so years bar none and all credit to him. I think he and Lambert have done us proud. I just think, gamble and unlikely as it may have been it was worth a shot to at least try and help Robert through as we were losing regardless. -

Tai had four laps to try and help Robert pass Emil. It would have been better to lose 5-1 trying to do that than lose 4-2 while he clears off. I thought that was the point of pairs riding? -

The great thing is that we have two riders at the moment for Britain who don't look overawed and ride like they belong in that company. even if we don't win it we're competing on a better level than we have for a long time. -

To be fair we could have had the Czech Republic or France and at one point Australia and Britain were looking a bit shaky. -

Very good crowd, beautiful weather. Appalling racing and my god the atmosphere is flat!

Surely if he rode in the British semi final he can't pull out of this one?

If that's true someone remind Rossiter to stop faffing about as it's freezing standing here. -
Or David Hemsley!

Damn, I was hoping for Ilya Bondarenko, first into turn 1 and last halfway round turn 1!
