Ipswich v Leicester Monday 23rd June Live on TV

Its taken us until that last heat to look like we're not fighting to keep the bikes straight. Ipswich look very controlled and that's been the big difference. -

What's his excuse against the rest then?! ๐ -

Well he doesn't do it in a Lions jacket! -

Masters and Douglas don't go well normally, Fricke can be hit and miss. When we win there we usually have a standout, this year Becker and last year Lawson. -

Lions riders never really like Foxhall and it shows. -

Deck chair hire with complimentary knotted hanky, designed to resemble the neck scarves riders wore in the good old days. -
Would have been nice if that information had been released though, right? Rather than having to rely on a friend of a forum member about 3 days late. I do wonder what he was doing on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday that wasn't working. Next time I hurt myself I think I'll bypass A&E and head straight to a Polish doctor, they seem to be able to work miracles in no time at all. Maybe he can do an advert for some more sponsorship money? "Last week I hurt my wrist and was unable to ride a bike, but thanks to the miracle cureall of Dr Zลoty I can now score maximums and win a GP!" ๐

No, I'm sure that was an unnamed 17 year old ๐

It would apply in my case. Same with Boxhall, Worrall et al. I might be persuaded if they prostrate themselves at the feet of the fans in apology and pay for testing before every meeting, but none of those I've mentioned seem remotely apologetic about being utter idiots.
-
If Morris ends up anywhere near BP that's me out I'm afraid. I'd expect nothing less than a humbling apology to all Leicester fans before I'd even waste my water on him.
-
Point is, if all they're racing for is easy money and no pressure people can't complain if he gets a roasting for seemingly picking his meetings. That's something I'd level at a lot of riders, not just Kurtz BTW.
-
In which case why bother with league racing at all? Why doesn't he quit BV and go for personal glory if its more important to him. Be honest.
-
Can't have a "good" meeting if one side is very poor. It was the same against Sheffield last week. Bewley is likely sore that he's carrying the side because Kurtz isn't here.
-
If he'd won heat 1 he'd have said sod all. We all know it.
-
He doesn't have to get covered in dust for over 20 quid a pop though.
-
Why would he not be fit?
-
No thanks, wouldn't want him near BP again.
-
Good shout. I seem to remember him scoring OK riding for Wolves around BP a few years ago.
-
It would be disappointing if that's the case, for both reasons, the injury severity and R/R. I guess ultimately the only available replacements will be from abroad, and Stewart has shown a marked aversion to bringing in continental riders since he's been with the Lions.

To be fair I've been to some other motorsports that aren't too far removed, but no sport body is quite as wilfully blind to it as the BSPA. Now if you don't mind I'm off to the track shop to get a new, laminated, no expense spent team picture. The out of date one with the riders who've been sacked or buggered off to Poland. ๐ -

Every time the camera pans the crowd I cringe. People with more pin badges than real teeth, 80s/90s dance music at the tapes, dreadful working mens club banter on the centre green and people who go on about bring back upright engines, monkey masks, open helmets, rediffusion, polio, smog... -

You couldn't possibly alienate all those people who have been going for "forty years you know, in the same spot with my thermos and blanket..." by doing something radical. No, seriously, you couldn't possibly alienate them or the whole thing would collapse, there's nobody else going... -
