  1. The Wimbledon Speedway Supporters Club are organising a Riders Reunion meet local to the Plough Lane Stadium on Saturday, March 19th. We would like as many riders as possible to make this event. If you rode for the Dons or you have contact with anyone that has then please email me at donsspeedway@tesco.net
  2. Remember one BH Monday in 1988 I think, Watched Oxford v Reading at 11am, then went to watch a non-league match at Abingdon at 3pm, then made it back to Reading v Oxford at 7.30pm. Ah those were the days!!!
  3. After the success of the past 2 years, conferenceleaguespeedway.co.uk will be incorporating all news fixtures and results from the newly formed Under 15's League for 2005
  4. You had 2 lots of http:// - it don't like that!
  5. Not that keen on heights!! Quite happy walking up it until the solid shell turned into wire mesh, was nearly on my hands and knees by the time I got to the platform!!!
  6. The way that sean is looking at the League could quite easily work........IF a certain person would get up off their backside to make it work!! All that happens is that the rules(!) that are in place are tinkered with left right and centre! As I've said time and time again, nothing will be sorted whilst Morrish is in charge, let someone who wants to run the Conference League properly do it.
  7. Please use this thread http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/ind...topic=10757&hl= LOCKED
  8. Amused!! I was waiting to dive into the air-raid shelter, I thought it was all going to kick-off!!
  9. Same here, I was going until I saw the prices. As SCB said, why would i want to pay £40 to watch that, I paid less than £25 for the GP for crying out loud.
  10. Echoed, thanks for sorting the bookings out David, it was very much appreciated. I would offer to take over, but I don't own a credit card (anymore! )
  11. Yeah, but imagine the mexican wave each time fd wanted a leak!! Oh yeah, count me in too
  12. Yeap, it was a Moderator Group Hug as phil called it - you, me, phil and SteveT, krissie had run away by then! Poor phil he came over all emotional!!
  13. An absolute classic Lt, brightened up my morning! at phil dribbling, looked like he was well on the way in the pow beforehand! What's this about signatures!?
  14. The programme was produced by Pinegen, publishers of the Speedway Star. tel: 020 8335 1100 or email star@pinegen.co.uk
  15. The day didn't start off as I had hoped, had a raging headache when I woke up, and then the thought of driving from London to Cardiff sent me back to sleep again! Eventually got going at 11am, round about the time I originally wanted to get there. Drove straight to the Bay area picking up a few Dons stragglers on the way and had a rather nice pub lunch…yeap I was there by 1pm. Got to the Prince of Wales at 4pm but spent half an hour trying to find someone I recognised, then out of the blue I spotted London Witch who then had the honour of introducing me to so many forum peeps. The highlight of the day was walking up to pammie, who was trying to focus on who I was, then the look on her face and the scream when she realised it was me. Hooked up with shazzybird Joanne and addy and strolled off to the Stadium. Once there….my god is all I can say, the whole evening was one big spectacle, from Tony Hadley (so true!) right through to the fireworks and Steve Turner’s face at the end (that was priceless ). Just amazing, the best British GP yet, but all you lot just made it for me too, and to think I nearly didn’t get there.
  16. Not quite Jess, just called in a favour! And I finally get to meet up with 'Wabs'. See you there LW (& Co.!)
