  3. Stuart Robson Farewell Meeting ·FB CHANGE OF TITLE SPONSOR FOR FAREWELL MEETING When attempting the 4th running of the Farewell Meeting, we were kindly contacted by Gordon Pairman with a very generous offer to become meeting sponsor through his RMCS RACING. With the postponement in March causing a loss of approx £5,000 from the money that was being raised to give Stuart the send off he deserves, we have been looking for additional sponsors/advertisers to try and fill some of that gap created, and Gordon has kindly helped out again, but has also agreed to waive the meeting sponsorship title, and that has kindly been supported by Richard and the team at Rentruck Rentruck are a big supporter of riders in the UK and are closely linked with the Belle Vue Aces, and they have agreed to help out after a discussion with Gordon. The speedway community never fail to amaze us, and the generosity shown will help towards filling some the financial gap already suffered earlier this season. So now we have the Stuart Robson Farewell Meeting sponsored by RENTRUCK If anyone else would like to get in touch and help out with anything please drop an email to robbosfarewell@hotmail.com
  4. Redcar Bears Speedway ·FB Meeting Postponed Unfortunately the overnight rain has been the last straw and the track is now waterlogged, with more rain forecast today there is no chance of preparing a safe racetrack so we have had to make the tough decision to postpone today's match against Glasgow.

  6. In case anyone was wondering... 2023 SCB Speedway Regulations 011.1.5 Unsatisfactory Starts In the event of a re-run; without disqualification or track maintenance, interval or repairs to motorcycles and where in the opinion of the Referee an improper or incorrect start has occurred, then the heat will be stopped immediately. A restart shall instantly be ordered and a 1 minute time allowance will be given. No rider may leave the track. The Referee will give a warning to any rider deemed to have been the cause of or contributed to the unsatisfactory start. This will be communicated verbally by the Referee to the rider concerned via the start marshal or clerk of course before the race is started. This warning remains effective until the rider commits a further starting offence, in a subsequent heat, in the same event. This will result in a mandatory disqualification from that heat. Following a mandatory disqualification for a second offence any previous warning is deleted. The handicap or reserve replacement option is permitted.

  14. Stuart Robson Farewell Meeting FB DECISION TAKEN TO POSTPONE MEETING TO 2024 It is with great sadness, but also with good reasoning that we have taken the decision to postpone the meeting until the start of 2024. When the 4th attempt fell foul to the weather in March, we had great support from the Redcar promotion, the BSPA, all of our sponsors and you the public in getting a date agreed for 4th June. The biggest challenge was that the original 16 line up for March, 12 of those 16 riders were unavailable for the new date due to other commitments, so we set about contacting replacements to make the event still a very competitive line-up. Unfortunately the availability of the replacement riders is such that we have had to take this decision. “We have been discussing this for a few weeks, and although I want the meeting to go ahead I think the decision is the right one.” Said Robbo “I can’t thank Jamie and the Redcar Promotion enough for their support, and also Martin and Chrisse for all of their work in helping with everything in the background. I want the event and the line-up to be the best it can be, and although we could try again at the end of the season, riders who are in league playoffs etc understandably don’t want an extra meeting at that time.” “I know when we eventually get to run it will be a great meeting, and I thank everyone for their patience and kind words of support”. We will contact all of the sponsors over the next few weeks with some more details, and also those racejacket sponsors
  15. Redcar Bears Speedway There's an increasing number of people asking whether tonight's match is still on, please rest assured that the track is in great shape and hasn't taken a great deal of water, the forecast for the rest of the day is brilliant and we expect to have a top quality racetrack for this crucial match. Let's get the word out, we need a big crowd to get behind the lads tonight.
