Thanks for that👍I put a post on this forum on May 1st on the Ipswich v Birmingham thread which kind of summed up my feelings. For old times sake here it is:- I know exactly where you're coming from😉Since Jason Lyons retired(his words to me were "it's time to get out of British Speedway"),Tony Mole retired and sold to the next owner who didn't have the funds to take it forward and so on and so on and folk have just kind of given up🙄There are people I used to go all over the UK with watching the Brummies have just drifted away and just are sitting at home saying WTF(I am for sure). There has been a total lack of ambition by certain folk(apparently the Brummies would be completely knackered without him)who just want to be part of the speedway set up in the UK and have no aspirations in acheiving any kind of success going forward and are just happy with an existence/complete failure(surely try to attract lapsed speedway followers from the Midlands who have no team to follow anymore through no fault of their own). There are quite a few hardcore followers(as you well know)who'll put up with any crap so long as the team exist🙄I'd like to know the answers as I,along with many other folk(famous speedway teams in the Midlands who no longer exist)wonder where this is going to end up?Are there any administrators/involvement from the Brum set up trying to attract new followers, sponsors, businesses to come along and have a look at what goes on every couple of weeks at Perry Barr,or have they just given up too and accepted all is over at the end of this season? My apologies for being the Grim Reaper but it's no fun anymore being a speedway follower/lapsed at Brum when you know that nothing anytime soon is going to change.🙄 Obviously NT and whoever involved haven't seen this as it may tempt myself back into watching speedway, but maybe too late🤔

I remember it well.👍The Fen Tigers race bibs/jackets had been left somewhere in Poland when they came to Brum and I was asked if I was going there anytime soon to pick them up🤔You couldn't have made this s h i t up!!!!🙄🙄🙄

Spot on👍.All I/we wanted was honesty about the whole situation, but as I said in an earlier post that the silence was deafening.😉

Well, apparently Brum can't do without his input and when they close he'll move on and poison the next outfit like advising promotions that riders such as Pawlicki and Milik(who hadn't ridden in the UK for over 10 years until they came to Brum) was the way forward🙄🙄🙄 How many more rolling eyes emojis do we need on a post🤔

You have absolutely nailed it with your post👍👍👍

You never ever fail to make myself laugh on this forum.😆

😂😂😂😂 George from Glasgow being stopped from boarding a bus back home from Brum after the Weegies won at Perry Barr and left at Digbeth Coach station🤔🤔🤔 Even funnier was Glasgow supporter Willie, going missing from Perry Barr in the middle of a meeting and George and Bongo playing basketball during the interval🤣🤣🤣🤣 The interview with Clean Cut Sports with George,Paulco and Shane Parker🤣🤣🤣🤣 My name is Jacob.🤣🤣🤣 Bollingers at Owlerton🙄🙄🙄 Tear gas coming through the air vents in a pub next to Gneizno stadium😬😬😬 I don't think Large Larry and Cousin Norbert are with us anymore🥹🥹 Yeah, you could write a book for sure!!!!😂😂😂

You're never wrong on anything mate👍How has it ended up like it is at Brum?🙄How I miss the laughs and the piss takes we used to get up to when our paths crossed🤣

Last time I was in Praha was May 2012 for the GP where I took an overnight train to Wroclaw via Dresden for an Ekstraliga meeting. If I remember correctly you can take tram no.22(Bila Hora) and get off at the Vypich stop and then a short walk to Marketa.I'm led to believe that tram 22 is a good way to see the many tourist sites in Praha. One recommendation is going to this Monastery Brewery in Brevnov:- https://www.klasternisenk.cz/cs/ (Brevnov Klaster tram stop). The beer and food in this establishment is excellent and very affordable(though it was 13 years ago and very probable/without doubt that prices have increased since then).Looking at Google Maps is Marketa Stadium is walkable from this fabulous hostelry👍Like a few posters have said on here is have your wits about you when in the tourist hotspots and go to Praha districts Zizkov,Vinohrady and Karlin to avoid rip off tourist prices.Have fun!!👍 -

Huge credit to all involved for honouring one of the finest ever riders in Ipswich colours. I had the privilege of watching him ride for the Brummies in 1979.A class act!! -
Will you be renewing your season ticket next season or accepting you won't have a team to watch next season?Surely...... the writing is on the wall!!!😐
-
Absolute clowns🙄How much more can they do to drive folk away from watching speedway racing🙄
-
I'm sure that plans to build a new mosque would be approved by BCC!!

Indeed stevebrum.I was at the meeting in 2012 where TWs team Wroclaw were riding Rzeszow when Rico lost his life.I got talking with TW before meeting as I knew his Dad from his Brummies years(as it was part of his contract with Wroclaw to do interviews, meet and greet fans, and other promotional stuff) and met him at the airport next day before heading back to the UK.He gave me a lift home to near where I live and was fantastically accomodating in difficult circumstances. It's pretty difficult to take onboard with his current plight with all that it affects.I,like all others who post on here wish the fella the very best for a positive outcome.🫰
