  1. We are not sure yet, my passport has had to be renewed this month & I am waiting for it to come back. If it comes back in time we will more than likely go. We will stay at the track in our people carrier. I dont think it will be as cold as Inzell. If we go I will let you know closer to the date so we can meet up, so I can rub it in about our trip to Baveria.
  2. I would recommend a trip to Tarnow. My wife & I met up with Mike (Leliwa) last year for the Polish championship. Tarnow is a very nice city too, the town square is more laid back than other Polish cities we have been to. I got the impression that the Tarnow fans were very knowledgeable about speedway & enjoyed (and saw) good racing. The local beer is good too (much better than the Piast at Wroclaw).
  3. We've booked our tickets, sent off the transfer ( which cost £20 with Lloyds TSB ) which they have recived & the confirmation is in the post.
  4. The Swedish elite fixtures were printed in the Speedway Star dated 26 Nov & the Allsvenskan League were printed in Speedway Star Dated Dec 3rd.
  5. Just got back home after 24 hours on the road (much better run back than down even through last nights snow). Well good result for Bazeev went about his business very well. We had some interesting decisions from our Swedish ref regarding Serenius, in his first heat of the day on the first bend Posa crossed the blue line by at least 18 inches, then went on to lose the run to the line by a bike length to Bulankin but still won the heat according to the ref. Please don't get me wrong I love Posa & he was fantastic over the weekend, but it looked a bit dodgy to me and Wifey. Nikulin managed to get excluded for crossing the blue line against Posa I'm not sure how though unless it was down the 3rd & 4th bend. We felt sorry for Krasnikov he was unbeatable when his bike would finish the race, but we stopped fealing sorry for him when he let Eibl past (his Beru team mate) to win. I would love to see Franky Zorn do well this year I'm not sure what happend yesterday, I think he thought he had done enough on Saturday to make the final & started off a bit slow & when he did get it together his chain came off right in front of us. I think Krasnikov will be the 1 to watch over the 4 rounds of the World Championship. All in all a great weekend of Ice Racing , allthough i dont think I can ever remember anywhere being so cold ( I had a bottle of screen wash in the door pocket of the car which was good to -20 which froze solid & a can of coke also expoloded over night) & seeing so much snow. I think Assen wont be the same any more without the cold.
  6. Great meeting tonight & finished in record time! 5pm start & done & dusted by half 6!!!! It wasn´t as cold as Thursday´s, which was just as well, although it did start to snow as wifey & I walked back to our hotel Looking forward to tomorrow; Franky Zorn seems to be unstoppable on his fast bikes. Heat 17 when he beat the Russians was brill. We were very impressed with the youngster from Finland, Tommy Flyktman. If he can get some fast bike (anyone from Beru watching?!!) he could be one to watch for the future. He´s joint 5th going into tomorrow so hopefully he´ll make the final Not too sure how Nikulin beat Zorn in heat 15. From where we were, it looked like Franky was half a bike length in front. Even the scoreboard gave it to Zorn until half way round the first lap of the next race when the announcer excitely said Nikulin had it! Mind, it´s great to see him riding well too. Not looking forward to the drive home after the meeting tomorrow though
  7. Have had a reply this morning. Can't post you the details though as I'm in Inzell at the moment. It looks as if you have to send them an E-Mail with wat you want, they send you a confermation bill & you send them a bank transfer.
  8. Wifey & I have our tickets in the middle of the back straight
  9. Good meeting last night (Very cold though), the ice was the worst i've ever seen for a meeting, it looked as if they just left it after the practice. Slava Nikulin did a very dodgy pass on Eibl on the last lap of the final, making heavy contact on the back straight, nearly pushing him through the bails. You only get this exitement from Ice Racing.
  10. I think it all depends where they have it. I think Re Run Rune will be over the moon to have the qualifying meeting at Vetlanda instead of somewhere like Easbourne for example.
  11. Does anyone know when the draw for the semi's are & is anyone else from the forum going. My wife & I are staying in town from the Thursday to Sunday & we would like to meet up with other forum members if they are going.
  12. Perhaps someone should tell Rune that Rzeszow has its own Airport
  13. Newport are down t ride Glasgow on the Friday before the GP & the Welsh open is on the Sunday after
  14. This forum is getting more & more like an advert for Travel plus.
  15. Ticnet Web site now works for everyone & this year there are stand tickets left.
  16. We have bought ours, you have to phone them & they will only accept payment by bank transfer. So our £58 tickets will cost us over £100 after booking fee of 25sek, postage of 200sek plus a bank transfer fee of around £25. Rip off BSI strikes again! I forgot 15 mins on phone to Sweden too! The number is 0046771707070 & press 9 for english, if you're interested.
  17. We have always stayed at the Novotel because its cheep (we payed £20 a night for a double room) , its about 10 minutes walk to a direct to the track tram stop, its straight off the motorway & they guard our car.
  18. The Terme Catez resort is about 8 miles down the road near Brezicie, they have 4 hotels, many appartments & a large camp site. It has some of the best swimming pools i've ever seen as well as a sports centre. Its net exactly cheep to stay there but is well worth it. Also most of the riders stay there so you are likley to bump into Mr Rickardsson out on the lash the night before the GP. http://www.terme-catez.si/en/
  19. The only way I would bother going again is if they had it in Sweden. The best racing by far in this years WC was the meeting at Eskilstuna
  20. Just got back from Austria via Coventry. FIM What a discrace you've made a mockery of our sport again. It's funny I spoke to Tony Steele before the meeting and he said the best chance of getting the meeting on was to go for the 4pm Sat start because the forcast was supposidly bad for later on in the day & for all of Sun. After the meeting I was talking to 1 of the meeting organisers who said that the forcast for Sun was good and the jury president was Polish and would not allow the meeting to be postponed in case it caused any disruption to Polish meetings on the Sunday. Anyway Hollow victory for Kasperzak, I dont know about engines drowning, there was a distinct possibility of riders drowning with the amount of water on the track. This meeting should never have started, and the only reason it did was politics. SHAME ON YOU FIM
  21. I think what we ought to have is instead of the practice going on for hours on the Friday, how about a mini qualification meeting with the bottom 2 or 4 from the last GP & 4 wild cards. This would make the GP far more competitive, because no one would give up any point in the GP if they might have to qualify for the next one & you could have the likes of Karlsson, Loram, Pepe & Max (if fit) who are left out in the cold having a shot if they better than the riders that are in. They could charge a nominal fee to watch, to cover the costs, & incorporate the practice session into the meeting, thus giving the travelling fans 2 days of racing as opposed to one without infringing on other league racing.
  22. Myself & Wife driving out for Lonigo, then going on to Terme Catez for a few days, then driving up to Austria for U21 final.
  23. Many thanks to Leliwa. My wife & I had a great time in Tarnow & what a great meeting, the track is a great racing circuit & produced some of the best racing & passing I have seen in a long time. Congratulations to Janusz Kolodziej, his last bend pass on Gollob was a sight to behold. Also Congratulations to the Tarnow club & fans who made it a great nights speedway.
  24. Grey Bear I think the shirt was rejected on the rough smell grounds, Hope you had a good flight back, The weather here in Sweden is rubbish, 2 Rain Offs in the same day. All the best Gary
