There is no awarding - the winner of the GP gets 20 points and so on. After 20 heats there is a ranking of the riders from 1-16. If riders 3-16 don’t win a LCQ they know they can’t score more than 12. Wonder if the riders who finish in the top 2 after the 20 heats actually are more than happy that they don’t have to face the old style semi’s. We are not going to agree. The FIM/WBD made the decision in the winter and if next winter they don’t think it’s been successful then no doubt they will change it.

Which reference to the last sentence means nothing. The rules were set for 2025, the riders know they apply to all 10 rounds - and i like it. All races count to get in top 2. All races count to get into top 10 and the higher you are means better gate picks and if finishing 2nd, 3rd or 4th in LCQ higher GP points awarded. what i don’t like however is that in a tie and 1st, 2nds etc won’t split, fastest times are used instead of head to heads- ridiculous !!
