Certainly there appears to be confusion and controversy every year. At least they cleared up this year the problem of the qualifiers from the semi`s by 7 from each qualifying. However whilst the FIM wildcard might have seemed a reasonable solution to the problem-for them to only come up with an Italian no-hoper was a joke. looking back at the semi results one can feel sympathy for Smoli as he won the race off for reserve at the Gorican semi whilst Harris won the race off for reserve(beating Berntzon) in Czestochowa-with both getting into the final when Bjerre and Dudek pulled out(qualifiers from Czestochowa). Surely both top reserves should be in line before one coming 2nd.
