  3. This is probably a first helpful post I have made to you-if you use edit and then full editor you can change the thread title
  4. Of course it`s my intrepreation of the rule-just like yourself. whoever speaks to a member of the MC first hopefully can ask them.
  5. I can`t answer it-that's why I am querying it -only the BSPA in their wisdom can answer why they have given Scunthorpe a facility-when it goes against what is currently written in the rule book-if the rule had read as I suggested it should read in my previous post then it would all be ok and everyone would be happy. I really cannot see that the BSPA have given Scunthorpe a facility on that rule -as I have stated previously that rule would NOT cover any recall for long track racing.
  6. Yes I do say you should have a NL guest-that what the rule book only allows you to have if he is away Longtracking. As I have said before and it`s worth repeating that I am sure that previously the BSPA have not recognised the qualifiers for next year as " facility meetings" (even earlier this season if Rye house were denied a facility. If the rule book read something like "Facilities are only allowed for the day of the long track championships plus the qualifiers and challenge. The only exception is if a rider cannot possibly get to the meeting by riding the previous day then a facility will be granted for the previous day." Is that too simple and straightforward. ??
  7. Hardly Rob the first to the insults was Long Eye. However I have been around Speedway long enough to know that the BSPA are very hot on riders facilities for Long track meetings(remember Cory Gathercole and Plymouth a few years back do you.? You and others cannot seem to grasp the difference between the 5 long track final rounds and the qualifying for next years competition-ie 2 qualifiers and a challenge final-The BSPA obviously denied rye House a facility for the qualifier(actual day of the meeting) so all us posters are doing is highlighting the inconsistances.
  8. Are you really as thick as you are making yourself to be-if you had bothered to check the meeting Howe and Piper missed was actually "the world championship " round (1 of 5 ) Facilities are allowed for that-obviously the BSPA do not recognise the qualifying rounds for next years series as "facility granted" matches(much similar to the SEC meetings) yet suddenly come the "challenge final" Scunthorpe are granted a facility .I`m sure Len Silver and the Rye fans would love to know why they were denied a facility yet Scunthorpe are granted one !!!
  9. So were the 2 qualifiers at Bielefeld and Tayac- did teams get a facility for riders missing for them ?? I would check Rye House v Workington on July 5th same day as Tayac to see what facility Rye House got for Tresarrieu. When you have done smart ar*e come back.
  10. You are just being silly-these are the "speedway regulations " and it just needs one rule to cover long-track championships-every other long-track meeting cannot be considered under the regulations I repeat facilities are only considered for the "long track championships " if you can`t see that then you have been brainwashed by MR G.
  11. I think we both know that that rule is a "speedway rule " and that long-track is adequately covered by the rule I have quoted
  12. I would like to thank David for taking the time and trouble to put his point of view across. Putting aside the riders viewpoint for one minute-we are talking about the long track qualification series here -and I`m pretty sure that facilities have not been granted for riders missing the 2 qualifaction rounds leading up to this challenge final-yet suddenly we have facilities granted for the challenge-this is not the recognised "long track championships" which are run over 5 rounds-which David is taking part in.
  13. Thank you David for your answer-did anyone ask the FIM if you could sign in late ie slightly after the 12 noon deadline-as the 07.30am BA flight out of Heathrow with a fast car would get you there probably at 12.30pm. ??
  14. Sorry Rob but it`s not the end of the story-It`s an illegal guest-the rule book says so-If Howe was in the 1 to 5 I bet Scunthorpe would have been happy to accept the rules. the BSPA cannot make up rules as they go along-If the SCB had any balls they would NOT accept this illegal line-up for this match and tell Scunthorpe in good time to get a NL guest in.
  15. Thanks I will await his reply with interest-I thought he must have been a farmer with all the bull sh*t in his original answer
  16. If that is the best you can come up with MR G-sorry Montie then it`s a pretty poor show. I have checked the SCB rule ammendments to this years reg`s and cannot find this amendment 16.5.1 H disregard this rule if any longtrack meeting is brought forward 24 hours. Can you point us in the direction please. Irrespective of when the meeting was or is-the Scunthorpe meeting is Friday-the Long-track meeting Saturday-therefore I repeat No facility. Edit further information 1 Meeting date was changed 30th June 2 Howe qualified for the meeting on 5th July So the re-arranged meeting point is a red-herring as Howe wasn`t even in the meeting when it was re-arranged.
  17. Maybe you can tell us all-another Scunthorpe illegal long-track guest ??-they got away with one a few years ago by blaming the BSPA office for saying it would be ok. Some facts 1 David Howe is listed as competing in the Czech meeting. Therefore 2 He is withholding his services and has been suspended for a period ? A guest would be appropriate in this case. 3 Rule 16.5.1 H covers facilities for Longtrack - and I quote "Facility for FIM longtrack championship duty(for the day of the meeting only) no facility is permitted for practice day." We know that the FIM longtrack championship is run over 5 rounds through the season-this meeting is the challenge final to get into next years series-so I`m not sure that even counts as the "championship"-that's irrelevant in this case as the Longtrack meeting is on Saturday(practice is on Saturday as well in this case )so as per the rules there is certainly NO facility available for a rider missing a meeting on Friday-unless he has been suspended.
  18. Howe I am assuming is in the Czech Republic for the final of the longtrack challenge at Marianske Lazne-unfortunately for Scunthorpe the meeting is on Saturday and therefore they can not have a facility on Friday so have to use a national league guest.
  19. Next action is the 2nd round of the Danish final from Fjelsted on Friday 8th August start time 4.30 pm uk time. http://kanalsport.dk/ The field for this 2nd round-courtesy of Holsted speedway website is 1.Niels Kr. Iversen – 12 point 2.Bjarne Pedersen – 12 point 3.Nicolai Klindt – 11 point 4.Mads Korneliussen – 11 point 5.Peter Kildemand – 10 point 6.Mikkel Michelsen – 10 point 7.Hans Andersen – 9 point 8.Kenni Larsen – 9 point 9.Michael Jepsen Jensen – 9 point 10.Mikkel Bech – 8 point 11.Ulrich Ørstergaard – 6 point 12.Nicklas Porsing – 4 point 13.Jonas B Andersen – 3 point 14.Leon Madsen – 2 point 15.Jesper Søgaard – 1 point 16.Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen – 0 point
