  4. Paul Bellamy has written the following-i quote "A great deal of development work has taken place through the winter months into making our temporary tracks even better and we will be constructing new tracks at Ullevi and Cardiff this year" Interesting wonder what Ole Olsen and co will be doing differently.
  5. Parked the car in Newport before and gone by train to Cardiff. Train fullish on way back after meeting but this years start time of 5pm will be a major godsend to anyone travelling by train-i would imagine with the meeting over by 8.30 one will be able to get trains to London,Birmingham etc.
  6. I thought that the date had changed to April 1st when i read Phil Rising`s piece about the riding order for GPs now being made the day before the meeting. What a complete waste of time-we now will have a lot of writing to do before the meeting. At least the way the gp racecard is ,it will only be marking boxes in to the races.why couldnt they have announced that ole olsen had been instructed to ensure more dirt was put on the tracks ! !
  7. I was going on base price-i have recently got a visa-electron card specially for Ryanair flights and we only have hand luggage and book in online so the base price is the final price-i wasnt trying to be clever as i have just been stuffed by Ryanair(not for the first time)they are now selling flights cheaper than when i purchased flying stanstead-wroclaw in may for the Leszno GP.
  8. You must feel a bit annoyed now-todays price £64 for two !

  12. Beaware Skavsta airport is nowhere near Stockholm. It is very near Nykoping.
  13. I can tell you what we did last year.We flew Ryanair to Stockholm Skavsta airport,on friday evening and stayed at a new hotel yards from the terminal called connect hotel Skavsta(www.booking.com for prices)we then on sat morning picked up the hire car from the airport and drove to Malilla-which is a leisurely 3 hours away. we then stayed on the sat night at the nearest town to malilla we could find accommodation at which was the Stadshotell at Vimmerby. We then motored back to Skavsta on the sunday.Ryanair fly to Skavsta from Stanstead,Birmingham,Liverpool and Scotland. hope this helps

  18. Thanks for info have used www.booking.com in past but these look a lot cheaper with a fair amount of choice
  19. I have been checking out hotels in Prague and Copenhagen in readiness for gp trips, and the prices seem to have gone through the roof ! ! I know the pound is really struggling against the euro at present - can this be the only reason for these ridiculous prices ?
  20. We have already been told by Ryanair to get stuffed as regards claiming any costs back-however they did re-fund £12 each for the cancelled flight, which only leaves us about £140 ea out of pocket !im glad i hadnt taken out ryanair insurance because you cannot claim anything unless the flight has been delayed for 4 hours before cancellation.they are a bunch of crooks but no doubt i will fly again to a gp with them.have a look at http://www.airlinequality.com/Forum/ryan.htm and read about all the other poor s*ds
  21. if you dont mind going fri-mon you could try www.click4sky.com which offers cheap czech airline flights.for a hotel try www.booking.com who have over 250 hotels in prague listed.
