  1. Certainly Goldvod was fairly easy with a BACS payment(under £30 for the 6 months) I`m sure you could google Polish TV in the USA and probably some suggestions will be on forums etc.
  2. 90 odd matches over 3 seasons- hardly an unknown.
  3. There are always " small rivers " (Phil has asked me not to use the other word) however they can be a bit iffy. For the last couple of seasons i have taken out a 6 month subscripition with Goldvod. which has Eleven Sport and N Sport. A friend of mine also recommends POLonTV, which i think could be dearer than Golvod.
  4. Surprised you don`t remember Terry https://wwosbackup.proboards.com/thread/2015/terry-mussett I knew Terry and Dad(big Tel !) very well in his Reading days.
  5. I have the video of the 1993 4 team final somewhere. It was the Anglia programme. I cannot find the meeting anywhere on you tube.
  6. Sportowefakty article- who said there is no money in Speedway !!!! " Three-time world champion, associated for years with Betard Sparta Wrocław, flew to the capital of Lower Silesia by a private jet. His teammates Daniel Bewley and Max Fricke took on board with him." photo https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/881482/zuzel-zagraniczne-gwiazdy-zaczynaja-kwarantanne-w-polsce-mistrz-woffinden-przyle
  7. I`m pretty sure that Anglia TV filmed it for their weekly speedway programme- if my memory serves me right Keith Huewen did the interviews including the team manager of the winning team !!
  8. I came across information on this Kent track by accident. The stadium staged some Speedway in 1931 and 32 and in 1969 a demonstration was put on to try and allow racing again at the venue. In fact the team rode 2 away matches before being denied permission to use the venue and ended up at Romford. Did anyone attend those council demonstrations ? http://www.defunctspeedway.co.uk/Rochester.htm
  9. New Sportowefakty article today- Google translation Currently 2020 PZM Warsaw FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Poland appears in the official FIM calendar from August 8. It is known that the competition at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw cannot be played without an audience, because it is unprofitable due to the very high costs of arranging the artificial track (about a million zlotys), renting the facility and licenses. The entire Grand Prix cycle does not have to take place in Poland, because there are still Danish or Swedish locations, but the head of some activists is thinking about distributing medals in the second half of October at the stadium in Warsaw, where weather conditions will not play a key role due to full roofing of the object. At FIM, they can't imagine a situation in which this year we wouldn't have the Individual World Champion selected in sporting competition. As we have determined, a scenario in which the tournament would be played in Vojens (12 September) would not be excluded, for the next week we would move with the cycle to Malilla in Sweden, where there are no strict restrictions on gatherings even now, and in the autumn complete loosening of the situation in sport, and another slot - 26 September would be a possible reserve date (e.g. for Wrocław, because the chances of riding in August with supporters are negligible). The series would end with Toruń - October 3 and Warsaw (October 17 or 24) competitions. Today nobody in PZM wants to confirm this information. For now, tickets for the event scheduled for August 8 are still valid, and there are not too many fans' questions about returns. The tickets were sold subject to the organizer's right to change the date of the competition, for example due to circumstances beyond PZM's control, which are certainly the effects of a pandemic. According to the so-called By the anti-crisis law, the organizers of competitions in Wrocław, Toruń and Warsaw have 180 days to make refunds for purchased tickets, if the events were not to take place at all. Theoretically, they could also transfer tournaments to 2021, and then the tickets would remain valid. Certainly for some fans, the ticket to the Polish Grand Prix round is something important. In recent years it has been difficult to buy a ticket, and tickets were sold on the trunk in the capital of Lower Silesia.
  10. Thanks, as private Frazier would say if you don`t know " we`re doomed " !!!
  11. Norman, we need your help urgently here http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/89376-west-ham-query/ I haven`t slept for 2 nights
  12. Could Charlie Goldberg(New Cross) have been Jewish ?
  13. If he doesn`t already he will have to for a while. Google translation from the article Batchelor, however, has a contract in the British Isles and there was a risk that he would not agree to basking for the entire season in Poland and choose to ride in Swindon Robins. Especially that his life partner is expecting a child and she can't move to our country for several months. The Australian apparently calculated that even starting for smaller rates will earn more in Poland than in the British Premiership.
  14. Maybe you could title it quiz question, when you know the answer, and if you don`t maybe something like " can anyone identify this rider for me ? ". I love a good quiz, so we should have more to tax our brainpower at this time !!
  15. New Sportowefakty article today on the Drabik situation- Google translation Slag. The Arbitration Tribunal at the Polish Olympic Committee on the Drabik case. There is a chance that he will consider it before June 12 - If we get an application next week and we know that the case is urgent, we will do everything to resolve the problem before the start of the games - says about the case of Drabik, Roman Troicka-Sosińska, spokesman of the Tribunal at the Polish Olympic Committee. POLADA rejected the application of the plenipotentiary Maxim Drabik to grant the player a retrospective TEU to accept the drip before last year's PGE Ekstraliga final. Advocate Łukasz Klimczyk has already announced the submission of an application to the Arbitration Court at the Polish Olympic Committee. Now there he wants to apply for TEU, because having them, he closes the case. TEU would justify the drip, so Drabik would be clean by law and could focus on driving. The Arbitration Tribunal has not yet received a letter in the Drabik case, but Ms Romana Troicka-Sosińska, the institution's spokesperson, announces that she will try to hear the case quickly. - If we get an application next week and we know that the matter is urgent, we will do everything to resolve the problem before the start of the games - says Troicka-Sosińska. - The lawyer representing the player has already been to the Tribunal and knows the procedure, so he will know how to speed things up - continues Troicka-Sosińska. - On our part it looks like we accept the application, then pay the fee, and finally the secretary appoints the composition. The topic is media, so we know that it would be good to issue a judgment by June 12. It is a little over a month, so there is a good chance that we will make it within this period. We hear from the spokesperson that if the Arbitration Tribunal's decision is unfavorable, then lawyer Klimczyk may lodge a complaint with the Supreme Court. Based on the knowledge from the last auditions before POLADA, it can be said with great probability that it could end this way. Our information shows that it is not, as defense lawyer Drabik says, that the only reason for rejecting an application for TUE by an anti-doping drug was its late submission. Of course, submitting an application a few months after the final is the main reason for its rejection. There were, however, different. First, there were doubts about the testimony given by the athlete's doctor. Secondly, it has not been shown that all authorized means were used before the drip. Finally, Drabik himself did not indicate the objective circumstances that prevented him from applying for retro-TEU earlier. Drabik explained that the club doctor Betard Sparty Wroclaw told him that taking half a liter of drip was not prohibited, that he could do it. This, however, is a poor translation, given that he had already heard that it was against the law at the check he had admitted to having the IV drip. And if only on this basis, he should have submitted the application immediately.
  16. Further Drabik article- Google translation Slag. POLADA will not suspend Drabik. Wait for the judgment of the Court. Will the player go in the league? Max Drabik's application for retrospective TEU rejected. The speedway patron wants the case to be dealt with by the Arbitration Court at the Polish Olympic Committee. If this does not meet before June 12, then Maksym Drabik will go to the inauguration of the league. Slag. Drabik's application for retrospective TEU rejected. His patron wants to go to the Tribunal at the Polish Olympic Committee POLADA rejected Maxim Drabik's request for retrospective TEU, but now the attorney of the speedway Łukasz Klimczyk wants the same application to be considered by the Arbitration Court by the Polish Olympic Committee. This may delay the case in time, because in the past the Tribunal was able to deal with the case six months from the receipt of documents. For Drabik, but above all Betard Sparta Wrocław, this does not necessarily have to be a bad solution. Especially because of the POLADA position. We spoke to the anti-doping director Michał Rynkowski if he intends to do anything about the Drabik case until the court has considered the case. The answer was unambiguous: there would be no action, and certainly there would be no suspension of the speedway until the application was considered. So if the Tribunal does not meet before June 12, then the Sparta speedway will take part in the match inaugurating the PGE Ekstraliga season. Drabik will run in the league until the court has considered the case. If this gathers in half a year, then the speedway will complete the current competition and worry about suspension before the next. POLADA does not intend to make any moves, because it must also assume such a variant that the Tribunal may make a decision favorable to the speedway rider. If this happened and the player was suspended in absentia, both his club and himself could claim damages. If the Tribunal is slow, Sparta will not have to worry about composition. The question is, how will Drabik be found in such a situation? At the back of his head would be the thought that he could be hung at any time. Will it translate into its results and how? This cannot be predicted today
  17. Pedersen and Bjerre have agreed now to ride for Grudziadz- presumably the DMU will have the last word.
  18. Sometimes family life is more important, and don`t forget Emil has shown previously when he refused to ride in the GP`s that he is his own man !!
  19. He`s signed a contract to ride for Balakovo in the Russian league- if he hadn`t he would be ok(like Woffinden) if he wanted to be in Poland for all that time ! If Poland relax there quarantine and travel stipulations eventually it will enable more riders to ride there.
