  4. 2254 in Gislaved- can`t see Hampel being back for Lejonen- big disappointment this season
  5. I thought that but it’s definitely not it is Eurosport. Onesport did when Eleven Sports were showing the U21’s in Poland and Onesport very kindly provided the you tube screening with English commentary.
  6. I was fearing that you might have been going to tell me that my words were remarkably similar to those in that wonderful book " tears and Glory "
  7. No way if Eurosport start covering UK domestic speedway will the commentary be done from Feltham. It will be from the tracks. Eurosport have not been concerned about Flying Dave Rowe and Sam Ermolenko to the 3 World U21 championship rounds and the 4 SEC rounds this season, even though they have not broadcast them all live in the UK.
  8. I can still picture the crash Clive had at the Reading Tilehurst track back in 1972. It was a world championship qualifying round and Clive crashed with Eric Broadbelt, which left Clive with a badly broken leg that led to his retirement.
  9. Freesports have changed their schedule next Tuesday September 3rd and are showing a 1st leg semi-final live at 6pm.
  10. Tonight`s 1st leg results Slangerup 47 Holsted 40 Esbjerg 55 Grindsted 32
  11. When you can bring in someone who was very nearly in the 2020 GP series and with a 20 point lead it shouldn`t be a problem.
  12. You are right the FIM Europe events(SEC, U21, Pairs, team, etc) were not recognised as meetings you could miss by the BSPA up until about 5 years ago(ie no facility)- then that changed with the BSPA under pressure from the ACU/SCB no doubt.
  13. 14. Andreas Jonsson has announced his retirement- thanks for the memories we will have AJ
  15. Bet 365 think Smederna by 4 and Kumla by 10 in tonight`s 1st legs. Lejonen seem to have a really strong 1 to 7 tonight- Lahti at reserve could cause some damage.
  16. Could be a problem brewing in Eskilstuna Smederna- maybe Lindgren blaming the "board" for his leaving the club is all to do with this. Maybe Ghostie knows more ? Google translation Unfortunately, we have a group of members who do not want to follow the democratic rules of the game that exist in our association. You probably know that there is a group within the association that calls itself "Save the Blacksmiths". A group that also includes non-members. The Board of Directors has previously received an e-mail requesting an extra annual meeting to be able to elect a new Board. The sender claims to have a list of names with enough members to require an extra annual meeting. No list has ever been presented with reference to GDPR and fear of reprisals. It is a perfectly reasonable requirement that the board want to see a list of name signatures. Partly to tune in to the membership matrix, and partly to see if the people really support the requirement for an annual meeting. Now the group wants to put democracy out of play by sending out an invitation to an extra annual meeting. Calling for an extra annual meeting on false grounds can have disastrous consequences for the association. If an annual meeting is held and a board is elected, it means that the association then has two boards. Something that is not allowed for a legal person. In the worst case, then authorities, RF, the bank and others will not regard us as a legal person at all. According to our statutes, “the board is required to convene an extra annual meeting when an auditor or at least a tenth of the association's voting members request it. Such a petition must be written down and contain the reasons for the request. ”As stated above, it is a very reasonable requirement of the board to require a list to ensure that at least one tenth is really behind. Neither reason has ever been presented. The group instead refers to "the unprofessional conduct of the Board". If the group follows the rules that exist and submits a list of names, with signatures and the reasons for the request, the board will of course announce an extra annual meeting. On the other hand, the board will never let go of the confidence that the annual meeting gave us if it turns out that the group consists of only a few rightholders who are only looking to destroy and do not want to follow a non-profit association's rules of the game. The call for an extra annual meeting for the Smederna Speedway Association, which has now been announced, has no support in our statutes and is thus invalid. We cannot prevent anyone from having a meeting but it will never be accepted as an Annual Meeting and the current Board will NOT take note of what is being discussed at this meeting.
