I can still picture the crash Clive had at the Reading Tilehurst track back in 1972. It was a world championship qualifying round and Clive crashed with Eric Broadbelt, which left Clive with a badly broken leg that led to his retirement.

When you can bring in someone who was very nearly in the 2020 GP series and with a 20 point lead it shouldn`t be a problem.

You are right the FIM Europe events(SEC, U21, Pairs, team,etc) were not recognised as meetings you could miss by the BSPA up until about 5 years ago(ie no facility)- then that changed with the BSPA under pressure from the ACU/SCB no doubt.
