Not really- this is taken from the SCB website Formed originally in 1948, under the authority of the RAC (Royal Automobile Club) the SCB was known as the Speedway Control Board, a title that stood until 2003.At that time, the RAC, through it’s subsidiary, the Motor Sports Association (MSA) relinquished their involvement and the Auto-Cycle Union, which was formed in 1903 had the sole responsibility in Great Britain for 2-wheeled motor sport.Subsequently the SCB was re-named as the Speedway Control Bureau and is authorised by the Auto Cycle Union to act as the recognised Governing Body for Speedway racing in Great Britain.Accordingly, each season the SCB produces a Rule Book entitled The Speedway Regulations, that covers all the rules applicable to the sport in Great Britain. It is available in booklet form at a small cost from the SCB Office or as a fre download from the SCB Website www.scbgb.co.ukFinanced entirely by fees generated through the issue of Track Licences, Rider Registrations and Officials Licences the SCB seeks to act as the independent body to ensure that the BSPA, Member’s Tracks, Riders and Officials all act within the Rules and Regulations of the SCB and most importantly within the best interest of Speedway motorcycle racing. The SCB is managed on a day to day basis by the SCB Co-ordinator (Neil Vatcher: neil@scbgb.co.uk) and an Administrator (Nikki Jameison: info@scbgb.co.uk). They are augmented in specialist areas by Track Inspectors (Alan Bridgett: alan@scbgb.co.uk & Mick Bates: mick@scbgb.co.uk) and a Technical Advisor (Jim McMillan: jim@scbgb.co.uk).Further specialist advice concerning Medical and Environmental matters are obtained via the ACU Committees; Environmental Advisor (Peter Gregory: pgregory@ntlworld.com), Medical Panel Secretary (Debbie Walmsley: dg@acu.org.uk)The Bureau consists of 4 nominated Members, two representing the ACU are Tony Steele and Graham Reeve (ACU Members) whilst Alex Harkess (BSPA President) and Gordon Pairman (BSPA Promoter) represent the British Speedway Promoters Association under the independent Chairmanship of Jim Lawrence

Milik replaces him -
Statement posted on the BSPA website http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/news.php?extend.35665 Maybe his 1st job could be to remind Willie Dishington of the rules for heat 15 eligibility. Edit regarding the above throwaway comment by myself i have found this SCB statement which as far as i know hasn`t been on the BSPA website it is dated Wednesday September 26th On Monday 24th September there was an error made regards the allocation of riders for Heat 15, in the fixture between Belle Vue and King's Lynn in the Premiership Play Off Semi Final. There was also an incident after the conclusion of Heat 14 involving the King's Lynn Team Manager Dale Allit, and a number of officials and Riders mechanics. The Speedway Control Bureau are fully aware of these incidents, and a full investigation is currently under way.Neil Vatcher SCB Co-ordinator

Apologies for the late posting of the Torun spread, but i am desperately waiting on news if Cook is riding and if not and the decision is made early enough Milik will ride instead and that will be a difference in points on the spread. Greg, Magic and Freddie are in the Swedish final tonight, so will probably wait and see if they all get through that unscathed. The spread will be posted early Thursday evening at the latest. A reminder that all bets for this final round are by PM to me before 6pm Saturday evening. Normal edit rules will still apply up to start time. I am off to the Hawthorns on Saturday to watch the Royals put a dent in the Baggies hopes of returning to the premier league at the first opportunity !!!!! this means i will not be around to chase any late bets and i will have to watch the final round on "delayed live" I will post the bets along with the full result on Sunday.
