Like the bit in the rules for the golden heats about the "lowest scoring reserve" presumably that is "on the night" as against " average" however is that with bonus pts or without bonus pts ??

I think you are !! what night will Denmark have then ? bearing in mind they use quite a few Polish riders who do Sweden Tuesday/Denmark Wednesday. GB is not in a great position to be calling the shots- however much you would like it. Friday`s are a problem because of GP practice and the Friday Polish league matches. I don`t think Monday`s over here would be too much of a problem- just a flight Monday morning from Poland and a flight to Sweden Tuesday morning - no big deal. It`s far more of a case that GB is the least favourable of the league`s for the foreign riders now.

15.15 GOLDEN HEAT RULES 15.15.1 In a series of Golden Heats the 1st Team to secure a heat Advantage is the Winning Team. 15.15.2 Each Team Manager nominates riders for 3 additional heats, using different riders in each heat (only if nominations are required for further heats may the same riders be nominated). 15.15.3 The team winning the toss of a coin has the choice to either nominate 2nd or choose Gate position; in subsequent heats this alternates. 15.15.4 After 3 additional heats if no Team has gained a heat Advantage, nominations will continue on the basis of one heat at a time, with a toss of the coin for every heat; the winning team may either choose the Gate Positions or nominate 2nd. 15.15.5 Riders may only appear once in every group of 3 additional heats. 15.15.6 A team, with less than 6 riders, may give extra rides to the lowest scoring Reserve (#6 or 7). 15.15.7 For a Starting Offence (Art. 15.3): only the 15-metre handicap option is permitted. 15.15.8 In the case of a re-run without disqualification and a rider is unable to take place in the re-run, the lowest scoring Reserve (#6 or #7) may be used to take an additional ride.

In my opinion there is certainly a bit of a power struggle going on between the Extraleague and the PZM. It would have unthinkable in previous seasons for the Extraleague to re-arrange a postponed league match for a Thursday reserved for the Polish championship semi`s, but this is what happened in 2017 and the semi`s couldn`t be run. The Extraleague also scheduled the Extraleague riders championship for a Monday night- when previously they would have used a blank Sunday.

They are not really expanding- for the last few years the Extraleague have had league fixtures on Friday`s and Saturdays- mainly for TV purposes- think they had 7 Friday`s this season- obviously this and the signing of the priority form has caused certain problems. One thing they did this year which probably annoyed the BSPA considerably was to put a meeting on Good Friday- Easter Monday has always been the Poles day and never on Good Friday.

Think they will be happy to have Friday, Saturday and Sunday and leave Wednesday to Denmark.
