  1. As the topic suggests, I have heard a little whisper of a Challenge Match between The Dons and Kent. Can anyone confirm or deny?
  2. My bro and cousin stayed there not long ago and they said it was awful!
  3. The Premier Inn Leicester Central is pretty good and about three or four miles from the track.
  4. I'm sorry but guests in speedway are way down the list of reasons why the sport is in decline. try... 1. Poor value for money 2. Meetings strung out and taking far too long 3. Poor stadium facilities 4. Other cheaper and more attractive forms of entertainment 5. Poor racing, usually caused by poor track prep. Have a go at getting those five right and we might have half a chance.
  5. Absolutely Nigel, fantastic demolition. They were throwing the wrecking balls at each other.
  6. All good points mate. Tatum hasn't ironed out his "um ers" after all these years though!
  7. Personally I didn't really notice the commentators which is a welcome change to having my ears raped by screamy and shouty. Some decent racing but a bit of an odd formula.
  8. I wonder who will be doing the commentary on this Pairs meeting on Saturday?
  9. . United Villa a few years back took place on an awful pitch at Wembley and there have been more than a few complaints over the years about the surface. Especially following NFL games etc. There has also been some shockingly bad permanent tracks served up over the years. It was also interesting to hear that as late as ten yesterday morning the meeting was not going ahead.
  10. . But by and large the track at Cardiff has been good.
  11. People say "BSI still can't get it right" in regards of temporary tracks are talking rubbish. Copenhagen and Cardiff have produced some fantastic meetings over the years. There was no one more annoyed with the condition of yesterday's track than Paul Bellamy but the buck ultimately rests with him and it will be interesting to hear what he says publicly.
  12. Woffinden apart, if that's the future of British Speedway we are screwed.
  13. Are you being deliberately obtuse? The decision taken in October was the winner or highest non GP rider in the British final wasn't to get the Cardiff WC. Not that Harris was getting it.
  14. Hence the question mark. Pretty unprofessional of Bech really.
