Too right ... what on earth were they thinking about starting this meeting anyway - got to be pressure from Sky Sports !! Don't blame Havvy for trying to get meeting called off at Ht 8 - Middlo would have done exactly the same if the tables had been turned - only difference is the Powers that be don't take any notice of the Bees whereas if it had been Poole - meeting would have been called off !! Still League is not won tonight so we live for another day. PS : Reserves cost us dear tonight - 2 points from 5 rides v 13 paid 17 from 6 for the Pirates ...... need to ride with their heads a bit more I think. Cheers

Swindon Robins V Coventry Bees 26th May 2015
Robbobee replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Talk about biased posting !! Agreed Sarjeant's error was his own as he just got too excited at the start of Ht 12 - fortunately for Swindon Hans found himself the meat in the sandwich and was victim of a classic first bend bunching if ever there was one - as opposed to 'running into the side of Morris' as the poster put it! Garrity and North - decision could have gone either way - even Dakota North said as much when interviewed so clearly not as 'clear' as the poster put it! Anyways - good result for Robins despite having a non firing Batchelor on the night ( bet he was really pleased with Rosco's rant at him ! ) - at least he gave it a go for christ sake. For Bees - went wrong with Harris finishing third in his 3rd ride and then James breaking the tapes - oh yeh and Kylmo not turning up but we'll forgive him given his previous matches so far! and then the Hans injury. Let's hope Hans is not out too long as his average takes a tumble for June onwards and guest's to cover will be hard to find especially away and also at home to Poole next week as only Leicester and Kings Lynn are not riding on the night and Doyle won't fit ! Better to go with r/r I reckon but could've done with Hans v Poole on tele !!! PS : Impressed with both youngsters Nick Morris and Kyle Howarth despite Ht 15. Danny King continues his good form of late and deserves his GB call up. Cheers - Onwards and upwards for the Bees !! -
Birds And The Bees (ok. Bees V Robins)
Robbobee replied to full-throttle's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Could be one of our toughest meetings of the season this one! Batchelor cannot be as bad as he was the other day surely and he normally goes well at Brandon as does Kildemand. Add two ex Bees in Zengota and Howarth to an in form Nick Morris and we have a good top five against us. Reserves could be pivotal as always ... Bring it on and may the best team win ... Cheers -
Latest Green Sheet Averages have as published on the British Speedway Web Site have Coventry Bees as the lowest overall score 32.67 and Poole Pirates as second lowest 32.70 - the team leading the Elite League followed by the team currently second in the League !! I know the reasons why ( ie: Kings deleted results for Brummies last year and Gomolski's farcical previous average applies etc ) however that can't be the way to go can it???? Cheers

Coventry Bees V Poole Pirates 10th April 2015
Robbobee replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I, for one , was one of the Bees fans last night frustrated with Hans during the loss last night as he did have a shocker! and had he scored the points he normally scores we could and maybe would have won. However, having slept on it and now put the frustration of the loss behind me, one bad night at the office does not make a bad No 1 and Hans is obviously normally a really class act - hence the frustration last night for both the fans and himself no doubt! He will bounce back I am sure and continue to get the backing from all true Bees supporters. As for last night - damage was done in the first 4 heats lost by 6-18 Score following those heats was 35-30 to the Bees including a couple of dodgy decisions by the ref and also some unfortunate ef on the night - so some positives to take ... Wolves V Coventry Monday 30th March
Robbobee replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
However - if god forbid Joonas Kylmakorpi were to get injured in his first race - Bees would be able to track any rider of a lower average for his four rides as per injured rider replacement rule. Now if no Doolan, Garrity was going to take 3 r/r rides anyway and therefore a maximum of seven rides he would be unable to take any of those rides meaning we would only be able to track Sarj in 3 races only and no-one in one race - just saying if .... Guest is the right option. Cheers -
No Artem Laguta for the Russians ?

Grand Prix Challenge.
Robbobee replied to a4poster's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think Bomber will be 4th or 5th on the night albeit beaten by both Freddie Lindgren and Kenneth Bjerre - and as they will be top 8 GP riders anyway, Bomber will get in for next year also ! Top Three : Lindgren, Holder, Bjerre followed by Bomber / Hampel Cheers -
Good stuff from RooBoy - beating Noddy Holder no less !! Cheers
-
Good to see Lukas Dryml back in the GPs ..... he was going well until he got badly injured and deserves to be in them I reckon. Roo Boy ? I don't think he has got what it takes yet ... could see that in the WTC, but heyy time is on his side. Good meeting from Lubos Tomicek also .... a Bjarne Pedersen top 8 finish will mean he is in ? Cheers

How The Hell Was Nicholls Excluded ?
Robbobee replied to bmth11's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Seems to me that Scott did indeed make contact with Hans on Turn 4 and the two of them were in contact all the way down the straight - but Hans didn't fall on Turn 4 or the straight - he baled off ( ie : did a 'Chris Harris' on Turn 1 when there was no contact. ' It's GP Speedway not Conference League you know ! ' Great to see AJ doing the biz at last !!! Go AJ !! Cheers -
Congrats to Denmark and even Hans Andersen for winning the World Cup ! Hans Andersen is certainly a fantastic rider and I guess he was within his rights to feel a little aggrieved when excluded after he took Chris Harris's line - not dissimilar to the Scottie exclusion at Arena when he 'took Kylmakorpi's line' but then that is speedway. For Hans Andersen to then launch into a televised frenzy, expletive littered rant is not very professional - and even worse to accuse Harris of being a ' Conference League' rider which is just downright disrespectful to his fellow racers just about sums the guy up - a w**k*r of the first degree ! Well done to the Brits in taking third place .... interestingly, had these teams been subject to current British CMA points limits before the start , Denmark 45.17 - Sweden 42.10 - Australia 42.03 - GB 38.84 just sows how well the Brits rode ! Cheers

Hans Andersen Statement
Robbobee replied to Subedei's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Hans Andersen not being in the 2006 Grand Prix series is an APALLING DECISION by whoever made it ! The guy may not be everyones favourite but he should be riding because ... a) he is good enough he is a better rider than half of those that are in the GP's already c) he is exciting to watch - even if he is not everybody's favourite Maybe he should become an Italian for next year and that way make sure he gets in .... GP series is supposed to be the best riders .... somebody should tell the peeps that pick 'em. -
Always thought it would be two Poole Pirates who were first and second in this one - just didn't think one of 'em wold be Suchanek !!!! Cheers
-
Great to see Bees reserve Martin Smolinski mixing it with Adams, Gollob and PK in Heat 25 ! Gotta be really good experience for the future ... good on yer Smolly ! Cheers

Hans Andersen surely secures GP place in 2005
Robbobee replied to JT's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Let's stick Ronnie Correy in there ... -
Agree with the majority of comments re : Hans Andersen's disgraceful slowing down effort only to say on SKY that he hadn't seen Karlsson and his bike was spinning ! Hans Andersen definitely let PK by although he also let Nicholls by as well. Had he raced as he normalll does then there is a good chance the guys would have all bunched up and a proper race develop giving Scott a chance. Hans Andersen let himself down bigtime ! Have to say though that comments from Louis alleging that Hans must have gained financially out of such a move is a tad out of order don't you think ? Love to get a Swedish view on that one ! Is he claiming that Sweden will / contrived to pay Hans Anderssen for the move ? Seems to me a call from a Swedish lawyer might be pending ... Should be interesting at the next Ippo team talk and on camera on Mon night v Eastbourne ...

Is Kelvin P*****?
Robbobee replied to 2ndbendbeerhut's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Could be why Neil Street missed the Joker earlier in the meeting then ... he was still p*****d ! And yes, Kelvin looked well over da limit to me ! -
Great stuff ... very pleased for AJ !!! Crumpie deserved the win in the Final ... but did you see his 'Hamill' manourve in the Semis when he turned right out of the gate in front of Bjerre ... it's a good job Bjerre wasn't there !!! Only gonna be one winner for the GP Series this year and that is Crumpie ... PS : Not much different between Hancock / Nicholls incident and Pedersen / Crump incident except Scottie didn't bale off !! Cheers
