  1. I personally think Ben is far too good for the PL anyway and if he wants to improve to the very top level of the sport he should look to step back up to full time EL and maybe get a ride in either Poland or Sweden or both. That said from a selfish point of view I'd love him to come back to Plymouth if averages permitted.
  2. Since a few others have got threads up and running, why not! Well first and foremost I just hope we are PL next year after all of the poor away reports and the fact that we've not been strong enough this season. Fingers crossed those in charge give us another season to get on a par with the rest of the league. Anyway as far as the team goes should we stay PL, of those that have ridden this season my definite returnees if possible would be Barker (not sure he will be able to ride PL nor will he want to) and Wells. Of the other Devils riders this season the ones I'd consider would be Simmonds, Bunyan, Hughes, Smart. All of which have averages low enough to put them at reserve so that could be a goer, although Nicki Glanz on a 3 would be great value. As for new faces, well Ingalls must be considered, possibly Peter Juul Larsen also after both were superb at our place this year. Elsewhere I'd like McGowan or even Sweetman as second heat leader and another rider that impressed at the SBA this year has been Boxall. Despite Kristiansen being a good signing this year I wouldn't keep him as I simply don't see value on his current average, victim of his own success in my opinion. So if possible something like this would be nice (on current averages)... Barker - 10.14 McGowan - 7.49 Boxall 5.71 Wells - 5.63 Ingalls - 5.58 4.95 left - Hughes, Bunyan, Simmonds or Juul would all fit Glanz - 3.00
  3. Last I read Hawkins was Ippo bound for 2012, not sure how reliable that is mind you. If for any reason the Rockets don't decide to re-sign Boxall I'd welcome him at Plymouth! He rides our place unbelievably well!
  4. You could yet see Plymouth back in the NL in 2012.
  5. Does anyone have the overall running totals for the leaders in the championships after 4 rounds?
  6. Mark Baseby is the sensible option imo, Birko if he fancies it wouldn't be a bad second choice.
  7. Personally I've never seen him ride but I'm told entertaining is polite for absolute nutter in Garrity's case. For that reason I need to see the kid race sooner rather than later!
  8. Delighted that the lad has got himself a club after his poor treatment by the Devils promotion. Best of luck to him and I hope he makes Mr Bowden regret his decision to leave Claes out at the last minute.
  9. Novratil was pure class when he came over last year. Gutsy and exciting to watch! I hope he has continued his development as if he has he will be knocking on the door of a PL place. He was one of the guys I hoped Plymouth would sign for this season. Good luck to him, hopefully he can do enough to gain a PL contract somewhere.
  10. Thanks for that Sandie, 2 great talents hope they make it over here in the future
  11. What ever happened to Austin Novratril, the lad came over last Easter if I remember rightly and scored about 16 at Plymouth as well as decent performances elsewhere, he was only 15 or 16 too. Would surely be a candidate for a team place over here! Same can be said for Gino Manzares too.
  12. I got them from here... http://www.speedwayinfo.co.uk/ConferenceTeams.html
  13. Delighted for Batesy to be fixed up, he is well up for this season, hopefully he will have a good year, he's more than capable! My worry with that team is that Andrews and Gough will be at reserve, both great triers but not sure if they will be able to add much on their averages. Great to see the team full of young British talent though. Well done to the promotion!
  14. Bates 4.47, Pickard 4.35, Perry 6.56. Hope both our former Devils get snapped up soon
  15. Good for him, looks a promising talent.
  16. Whats Ben Taylor up to for this season? Is he fit? Could he return to the Hitmen along with Allot and Branford. Dallaway will surely be back?
  17. Pretty sure Birko's last average was just over 8, 8.38 rings a bell for some reason.
  18. Not having a go here mate, but thats the exact problem with speedway in our country! A development team that has 2 Aussies already and now the suggestion of another one! Anyway I thought Newport were only looking to use their assets this year in the NDL. I believe Jaimie Pickard is a Newport asset, given how he ended 2010, he would be a cracking signing on 4.5ish. I know Matt Bates from our Devils side last year is on the look out for a spot and would be a similar average to Pickard. With Herne, Kurtz, WW, Young and possibly those 2 you would have a strong 6 with room for a 3 pointer. Maybe Daryl Ritchings? I reckon the Hornets could look tidy with something like that!
  19. Ah, I saw Adam talking with Will Pottinger after the NYC and wondered if this was on the cards. Brilliant signing for the Heathens and if injury free Adam will be a class above the majority of the NL, hope the move helps the lad re-discover his confidence and form.
  20. Indeed a certain Mark Jones who is back with Newport in the PL for 2011
  21. Take out Plymouth mate, we are PL now apparently!
  22. Rye have been asking for youngsters for their Cobras team so it looks very much like Rye will be running in 2011. As for Plymouth, whilst I'm hearing mutterings of us replacing Kings Lynn in the Prem, I fully expect us to be in the NL.
  23. RR I know you have verbally supported our application for PL racing of which I can only say thank you but what makes you think we would get a PL spot now? Whilst Lynn may be going into the Elite League, I still can't see us getting a place!
  24. Well if Plymouth are invited into the PL as a result of a PL club moving up to the EL, it will prove that it was all about numbers and nothing to do with any genuine reasons for refusal. It has been said on here previously by me and plenty of others. I'm quite exhausted with this whole debate and our sport in general to be honest. The AGM has brought nothing but problems across all 3 leagues and if that isn't confirmation that the BSPA are ruining this sport then I don't know what is. There are too many egos and too many agendas throughout the higher echelons of our sport and quite frankly it is a bloody joke!
