Just scroll down Martins twitter https://twitter.com/martindugard23 and you will see several mentions of building/working on Georgies bike. It also has the same covers as Brads. It maybe that Georgie takes them home to clean etc but just having a meeting pf bike probs does not mean lack of maintenance
-
Martin built Georgie's and Bradleys bikes as well as Kelsey's of course. Trust be, they are well maintained Bad luck I think and maybe they were chasing a fault with Georgie's. Speedway bikes are pretty simple but it can be hard to find a fault sometimes.

Good to see Eastbourne moving quick and making a signing, There are not that many midweek meetings anyway so cant see that being an issue. Good luck Matt. Welcome to the team.

Yes, he sure is. Just two things about him for me/ 1. I wish he could gate as he would win even more then and stop leaving us on the edge of our seats. 2. I hope he never learns to gate as it is so much fun watching him come from the back! Mmm, have I just contradicted myself? It was a long way to go last night to have the pain of winning by 7 but I did not feel it was a wasted trip. I also think we were a little flattered by Heathens falling while in pints scoring positions I think there could be quite a few away victories for the Eagles this year. Should make up for the last 2 or 3 years

Don't worry, I have been there. Watching one of our many losses against Birmingham in the elite league! -

That's confirmed on twitter with R/R for Danny. Hope they both get fit asap. Sounds nasty for Danny. This will be a great test for Eastbourne. Everyone has been saying us Eastbourne fans should not get carried away but we lost two riders yesterday and drop 6 points due to falls while leading so it hard not to get excited after a result like that. I am going to be pessimistic though and go for a 6 point home win. Would love to see another away win for Eastie though and I really think we can! -
Lol, I must admit I am beginning to let myself get excited now. Without the points Kelsey lost while leading, I think we would have hit 70! If we get something on Wednesday. the I reserve the right to be very excited!
-
That has made such a downer on the day, it really has. All the passing, racing, winning just dont seem to matter now after hearing this news. All the best to you Danny
-
Somehow I think if Danny scores a 15 point maximum, KL will be on the wrong end of a slaughter! Funny enough I feel a bit the same about Shane Hazelden. He is local and a good friend of my son (since school) and has also helped with advise an equipment for my sons own bike and riding.,so I want him to do good but a good Eastie win. Sorry Shane but an Eastbourne win comes first!
-
Really excited about this one. Looking forwards to seeing local lad, Shane Hazelden, riding (he has done a fair few laps round Arlo) and could be a close match. I think the strength right through our team will get the eagles the win and all the points though.
-
Lol. I agree with you. I am actually a bit concerned after what KL did to Mildenhall Please don't knock us for being excited about this team though. We have had some dire years recently with the same ole, same ole. We are very excited about this team and right now its great to be an Eagles fans! I reckon an 8 point win to Eastbourne.

Well looking at what the did at Mildenhall on Sunday, I would say they will be tougher opposition than Kent were. King's Lynn Young Stars = 52 1. James Cockle 3, 3, 3, 1, 2 = 12 2. Josh Bailey 1, 1, 3, 2* = 7+1 3. Scott Campos 1*, 3, 0, 3 = 7+1 4. Shane Hazelden 2, 2*, 3, 3 = 10+1 5. Tom Stokes 3, 2, 3, 3, 0 = 11 6. Adam Portwood 0, 0, 0 = 0 7. Ryan Kinsley 1, 0, 2*, 0, 2* = 5+1 This was from speedway updates site. Shane knows his way round Arlington.. I think it will be a tough match.

Yeh, I can see some of your points. Its difficult to move a meeting with 26 heats or so on quickly when you have so many incidents. Kelsey crash alone must have stopped the meeting for 25 minutes or so. Unfortunately I think the grading was required as the track was very bumpy at turn 3. As for watering, it must be hard to get it right. If they don't water, they will get complaints about dust. I would love it to go back to Saturdays as I fell you get a two day weekend plus speedway but with Sundays, you cant do much else that day but they are just doing what they think they need to do to get punters through the door. Just remember yesterday was a meeting thrown together to replace what should have been Eagles against the USA dream team

Interesting meeting yesterday! BWD was on it, there is no doubt but I was also really impressed by Georgie Wood. Good to see David Mason put in some wins. I don't think I have seen so many incidents involving the air fence panel at turn two! In my 45 years of watching speedway at Arlington, that was the closest I have come to being hit by a bike! The air fence panel that Kelsey took out shunted the metal fencing I was leaning on back by about 4 foot. Luckily, as soon as I saw Kelsey lift, I thought "he is coming through" So glad he seems okay Will I be standing there next week? Yep! Shame about the small crowd but I guess I can understand people giving it a miss. I just hope they turn up for our first Nation League meeting next week. I see Kings Lynn young stars smashed Mildenhall 38- 52 yesterday, the boys will need all the support they can get I think!
-
Richard Andrews has been pretty impressive in the two matches against Kent and also was flying in pre season practice. However, my money would Go on Bradley Wilson Dean My heart is with Georgie Wood or Kelsey though Any of our 7 will do for me, In fact filling out the top 7 would be awesome!!

Kent V Eastbourne, Easter Monday 6th April

Ah the good ole days! Dave Lanning, Arthur Nutley, The kamikaze kids and Canterbury with Barney Kennet!! In my youth I actually thought that Barney Kennet was the devil himself! -
Shellys at turn 4 are ok as well. Noit that I expect to be eating much on Sundays after the roast dinner I will be having just before I leave. I would be interested to know if burger sales are down on Sundays....same with beer as well?
-
I will go with Andrews or BWD, maybe Mark Owen or Kelsey Dugard. Having said that. I do think that Georgie Wood looks good and if Danny Warwick finds some for, who knows. Not sure if David Mason will be fit but if he is, maybe he could take the win.
-
Maybe they should demonstrate speedway bikes at a stock car meeting. Not the other way round though as I stand on the stock car track!!

just out of interest, how easy have you found it to change allegiance? I can imagine going to Arlington and supporting another team? Were you a bit neutral over the weekend or fully behind Eastbourne? Yes, I am having a bit of a dig but in a light-hearted way. the more fans we have the better! -

So, according to Martin and Connor on twitter. Only 10 tyres were brought to the meeting by the suppliers. Kent had 7 of the and Eastbourne 3! I must admit I though the rules were that both teams were allowed the same amount of tyres but I guess that's not the case. Strange that a supplier would only bring 10 tyres or should the teams bring their own? Must admit I am new to National League. -

Thanks. Yes it was the dream team. I went for the hell of it plus I was considering following them if Eastbourne closed.....I didn't expect to be racing against them in the near future!! Impressed with the venue and looking forwards to tomorrow. Just dont like it when I cant park easy. -
Thought I would start this up seeing as no-one else has. Hope I have done it right! Not sure that the Eagles will be as rampant as they were at Arlington but just maybe this is our best chance of a home win in some time!! However, I will predict a win by Kent by 6 points. Hopefully David and Bradley will be fit. What sort of reception will David get from the home fans? Also, just wondering. I went to the first Kent match when they opened up and had to park around half a mile from the stadium. Is that likely on Monday or should I get in the car park easy enough? Good luck to both teams and hoping for an Eastbourne win!
