  1. I have supported Poole since the 60's, and I would go on supporting them if they dropped down, to my mind if Matt Ford does drop down a league it makes a great deal of sense in this financial climate,
  2. Disappointed really, would prefer BT I have enjoyed their coverage, but more of it would have been good.
  3. The first set of toilets are situated , by the track shop on the fourth bend, the second set in the clubhouse both including disabled loos, and temporary ones put on the back straight I believe.I
  4. We can only hope that Eurosport will up their game, and not start showing some of the qualifiers or European Ch. or whatever it was from Ht17 !! Money talks unfortunately.
  5. Eurosport maybe ok as long as they get the right commentators, I remember Keith Hewin from Superbikes (I think) in the studio when it was with Sky, he was poor, it needs to be someone connected with Speedway.
  6. What Charlie (How important was it for you to win that race) Webster, no thanks
  7. Well if it is Eurosport lets hope the coverage is better than what they have dished up in the past, starting the broadcasts at Ht17 etc, Sky were definitely the best, and BT would have been ok if they had covered more meetings. Just an opinion.
  8. Most of the Grand Slam tennis has gone to Amazon Prime !
  9. I agree, I find they are the same with many sports they cover. Freesports (Premier Sports) or whoever don't do a bad job with the Swedish coverage.
  10. Maybe he was happy there who knows
  11. It seems the usual response when riders are interviewed re the state of Somerset's track is Its different every week, it obviously was not right again last night and not watered enough as their was dust blowing all over the back straight, its a shame as I used to enjoy my visits, but the last two visits have been totally different, last night it was very processional with very few passes, yet last week against Glasgow the racing was good. Once the ref had asked for more work to be done on the track last night the racing improved. Who is the track curator now at Somerset ?
  12. I should imagine May can only do what he can do with the budget he has to work with.
  13. That wouldn't suprise me, I shouldnt imagine they have to many top rider assets left on their books !
  14. Depends how much money you have to spend, last years No 1 didn't help I should imagine.
  15. But Harris is not a top man anymore, he also rides in the Championship in uk, he is no longer in the GP's and is not at the same standard now.
  16. So the paying public let down again, Roo Boy should be ashamed of his pathetic performance,, and Somerset have a guest in Ben Barker who rides his heart out, pity some of the Rebels didn't feel the same way.
  17. Absolutely right, why would anyone want to watch Speedway when its a total procession for the majority of the meeting, the sport is not exciting anymore most of it is like the last GP., of course there are exceptions but few and far between. Bikes need to be slower, just because the bikes are fast doesn't make the racing exciting.
  18. A really good meeting, everyone standing near me were really impressed with the presentation, the guy who was on the centre green kept moving things along and you could hear him!! As for the MUSIC, what a difference so much improved to what we usually get, what we they have been playing for the last two seasons I have been coming I am sorry to say has been absolute rubbish, all very modern stuff, last night fans were singing along and we even had music bringing the riders to the start line. The only quibble I have is why, when the young Aussie and Italian were going to be interviewed after the meeting they sent the bikes out so we couldn't hear them, its not as though time was short as the meeting moved along nicely. More of the same please.
  19. Keep going guys, very soon you will have no Somerset Speedway to moan about, some of us still enjoy our Speedway whatever!
  20. I think Speedway at the moment is in survival mode, and better to have Speedway than none at all. Its a vicious circle, riders want more fixtures and more money, so promoters need more fans to come through the gate, to pay riders more money, but the fans are not there anymore. It's too late for an overhaul should have been done years ago. Supporters have moved on, kids spend all their spare time on their phones or Xboxes and such like, even when you do see kids at Speedway invariably most of them are running around playing not watching the Speedway, you do not see kids out on bikes pretending to be Woofy, or Magic anymore, there are so many more things for them and adults to do today, not like it was in Speedways glory years. Promoters to don't help either by raising the entrance fee, that seem to be their only answer to dwindling crowds, with the latest being the avid fan who is probably now the wrong side of 60, is having to pay the same as adults at some tracks, which will probably make crowds dwindle even more. Time will tell.
