Cardiff Wild Card

Perhaps it should be like football where players who have represented their country/football federation on a senior level (A level games) are not allowed to represent another country.during their career. source, (5 and 8 Principle p63-p65). -
My opinion is that if there is an offender, that offender should go, I don't really like the All 4-back thing since it is exploited by those from gate 3-4 when they have a bad start and can't make it round the outside line, if there is no contact and someone drops it, then ex that someone. They will learn the hard way that they have to stay up.

Alan loved speedway but he also loved the Swedish sunsets so I made a tribute picture based on that. The image is from the 2015 SM-final in Kumla between Indianerna and Vetlanda and is also featuring the logos of two of his favourite speedway teams (not sure if he had a Polish fav team).- 42 replies

It has been moved about 8 m forward. It is not much but it's the maximum possible without also moving the referee box. It has been claimed that the old position was creating "unsafe" conditions in the first bend due to all riders going for the same racing line. Smederna are also trying to improve the racing quality by, other than moving the start, changing the first bend and put some new shale on. They have also made / planning to do some other changes to arena. Changes such as a new overpass over the pit entrance / exit, new loud speakers and possibly also a large outdoor LED-display board.

I agree with TDM. When the green light comes on, everyone should be standing still and if someone moves, give that someone a warning. -

He is a former Holsted Speedway board member/chairman/manager, being involved with Holsted speedway for some 20 years. He was elected new "foreman"/manager for the Danish speedway commission on a "repræsentantskabsmøde" held during the last weekend in February. http://www.holsted-speedway.dk/nyheder/rudi+steen+hansen+takkede+af_586/ http://www.jv.dk/sport/Speedwaysportens-nye-foerstemand-er-fra-Holsted/artikel/2483573 -

Rudi Steen Hansen who is the manager for the Danish speedway commission thinks that the riders gave up too early. A decision will be taken early next week on how to handle the situation. http://sport.tv2.dk/motorsport/2017-04-22-speedwayboss-om-aflyst-loeb-koererne-gav-for-tidligt-op -
Sure I agree with your points/concerns. I think the idea of a new league would be that it would somewhere between Allsvenskan and Elitserien in quality if it happens. I also don't think that all teams would have to have the same budget as the top Elitserien teams. I don't know the exact financial status of each team but i think that Griparna are pretty stable from what I've heard. They were a bit loud about the need/cost for a new air fence. Some claim though that Griparna had the money but that they complained so that the city would help fund the new airfence. Vargarna is a bit uncertain still for 2018 and beyond but they claim that it's looking "bright". I don't know about Örnarna. I would guess that they are somewhere in the middle, not in immediate danger but also not very stable. Indianerna is the most troubling and I think it will depend on the weather. Too many rain offs and I think they might run into new problems. ----------- Smederna have decided that the start will be moved by 8 m forward. http://eskilstunasmederna.se/arbetet-fortgar-pa-eskilstuna-motorstadion/ Smederna's press and practice have been postponed due the track works needing some more time and due to the uncertain weather forecast for next week. http://eskilstunasmederna.se/press-practice-flyttas-fram/
