Swedish Elitserien 2015, Round 1
Ghostwalker replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
Vetlanda will possibly use R/R for Hampel but it is still unconfirmed though. Lejonen - Rospiggarna is off: http://www.lejonen.se/Nyheter/Nyheter1/Installt/ In Vetlanda they are waiting to see if the rain stops. IIRC they have good track covers in Vetlanda so as long as the rain stops within a reasonable amount of time I think that meeting will be able to go ahead but no guarantees though. Read more: http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/14375/lejonen-rospiggarna-elitserien-2015-6pm?page=1#ixzz3ZHhMoZFR Track was not covered in Vetlanda. Meeting off. -
Svemo have altered the license rule slightly. Previously any non-Swedish rider who applied for a license just had to be a permanent resident registered with the Swedish civil registry. Now said rider have to have been a permanent resident and registered with the Swedish civil registry or minimum 18 months. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/2015/05/05/svemo-andrar-regel/ http://www.svemo.se/ImageVaultFiles/id_9770/cf_44/Beslutsprotokoll_4_Track_Racing_2015.PDF

Swedish Elitserien 2015, Round 1
Ghostwalker replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
Not surprising since Lejonen-Rospiggarna will likely rain off if the weather will be like it says in the forecasts. Yes Elit Vetlanda - Ikaros Smederna is the new tv-meeting. https://twitter.com/cmoresport/status/595504075241820160 -
Swedish Elitserien, round 1 live on Eurosport 2, today @ 6pm UK time. Swedish Allsvenskan, round 1, Gnistorma vs- Masarna this Thursday live on www.gnistorna.se @ 6pm UK time.

Swedish Elitserien 2015, round 1 It's May 5th 2015 and tonight it's (hopefully) première for the 2015 Elitserien season. The shortest one in many many years since it is inly 7 teams this season. As the previous couple of seasons, Elit Vetlanda are considered to be favourites to win the title again. However behind Vetlanda and (imo) Indianerna the rest of the teams are fairly equal, except Lejonen maybe which have a little weaker team but for which their home track will compensate. For all rounds Cmore will televise 1 meeting but they will also show all three meetings online (In Sweden only but with browser addons such as Hola you might be able to circumvent the geoblock). The online meetings costs 79sek (about £6). Payment by credit/debit card). Online stream site: http://www.csports.se/spelschema?sport=motorsport The televised meeting will also be shown live on Eurosport 2, 6pm UK time. We'll see if any of the meetings can go ahead since the weather forecasts looks very "un-good". Anyway here are the provisional lineups for tonight; Lejonen - Rospiggarna Lejonen Rafal Okoniewski Linus Sundström Peter Kildemand Tobiasz Musielak Krzysztof Kasprzak Pontus Aspgren Mathias Thörnblom Rospiggarna Kim Nilsson Andreas Jonsson R/R Mads Korneliussen Timo Lahti Martin Vaculik Szymon Wozniak Andzejs Lebedevs Elit Vetlanda - Ikaros Smederna (tv-meeting) Elit Vetlanda Tai Woffinden Peter Ljung Jaroslaw Hampel (K) Tomas H Jonasson Bartosz Zmarzlik Nikolai Klindt Kenny Wennerstam Ikaros Smederna Grigorij Laguta Mikkel Michelsen Peter Karlsson Pawel Przedpelski Kenni Larsen Magnus Zetterström Linus Eklöf Indianerna - Dackarna Indianerna Fredrik Lindgren Antonio Lindbäck Piotr Protasiewicz Artem Laguta Niels-Kristian Iversen Rory Schlein Anders Mellgren Dackarna Jason Doyle Michael Jepsen Jensen Nicki Pedersen (K) Joonas Kylmäkorpi Krzysztof Buczkowski Mikael Max Robin Aspegren Live results available at: http://www.svemo.se/sv/Grenar/Speedway/ Blank race card: http://www.mediafire.com/view/hq5xgd1bg2gz5z4/Blank_Heat_schedule_ES.AS.pdf

2015 Speedway Gp Challange
Ghostwalker replied to OveFundinFan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
at Abensberg on May 25th -
It seems that Darcy have appealed the decisions to alter his league average(s) which was part of the FIM ruling. Here is an exempt from an article about Fredrik Engman who might find himself left outside of Piratena's lineups when Darcy returns. This is because if Darcy's appeal is overruled Engman who's (heat) average is 0,643 won't fit under the average cap with Darcy's new average. http://www.mvt.se/sport/speedway/blir-straffad-pa-grund-av-darcy-10992233.aspx

UK_Martib, IIRC Denmark also uses a 14 heat formula. -
Oliver Berntzon suffered a minor fracture in his arm in the SEC qualifications in Debrecen. Track reserve Roland Banko crashed and was taken to hospital. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/2015/05/01/sec-kval-blytung-eftermiddag-for-vispen/

Warsaw Gp Saturday 18th April
Ghostwalker replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I mentioned those track names for a reason. However I disagree that there are enough permanent tracks with a 15-20K capacity to replace all temporary tracks because I don't know of any at all except a few in Poland. So can you name at least one track/arena per GP host country that have 15-20K capacity. -

weatherwatcher, can you tell me about the tracks in Gothenburg, Uddevalla, Visby & Huddinge? Like recent pics and etc? The truth is that very very few tracks/arenas in Sweden can accommodate a Grand Prix. Eskilstuna have the grand stand capacity but not the car park capacity anymore. I also doubt that Smederna would be interested in trying again since the last time they had a GP, the club went bankrupt a few years later. They also had very poor attendance at last year's Speedway best pairs cup . Vetlanda have the facilties but the track is not particularly good and it is also way to close to Målilla. Possibly Kumla but let's see first how well their EuroCh. round goes before giving them a GP. A GP also requires more then a good track, grand stand capacity, car parking capacity, generally good facilities... Any old track won't do. It have to be of fairly good standard. -

RR i agree with you regarding Tommy Rander. He is also very anti-FIM and very anti-Svemo. Something that stems from what happened to Kaparna for which he blame/d/s Svemo. He is currently the "boss" at the Swedish speedway magazine Speedway. Imo he has a very good knowledge about the sport but he obviously not suitable to be involved in the management of a team. -
No Emil though, he will ride in the SWC-qualifier: http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/2015/04/30/sayfutdinov-nobbar-sbp-kor-swc-kval/
