  1. I doubt that Rasmus have become a Swedish citizen already, since he would have had to live here since he was 16 years old (2009, 5 years of residency required). So I think he still is just a Danish rider with a Swedish license.
  2. Yeah unless you find a way to access to the streams at csports. Who knows maybe someones will stream the other streams as well... Another " fight" in Swedish speedway. Young talent Oliver Berntzon said in a statement to the Swedish "newspaper" Aftonbladet that he thought it was wrong by Svemo to give Antonio another chance after his third drunk driving offence, that Svemo did wrong to give Antonio a place in the GP qualifiers instead of giving it Oliver. Oliver said that he thought that Antonio shouldnät ride another meter and that the entire speedway world sees Antonio as an alcoholic. As a result of that Masarna have said that they didn't want Oliver to ride for Smederna in this Thursdaay's pre-season test meeting in Avesta between Smederna and Masarna. Masarna thought it was inappropiate for him to ride so Smederna had too find another solution, http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/motor/speedway/article20644011.ab http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/vispen-stoppas-fran-match-i-avesta-men-valkommen-i-serien/
  3. Antonio Lindbäck will be forced to be breathalysed before every meeting he rides in Sweden, this season. http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=67537&page=60&&do=findComment&comment=2602611 Do you think the same should apply to Darcy Ward and do you think that it should apply to all riders?
  4. But what about Rsasmus Jensen then? Who rode in the Danish SGP/SEC qualification event presumably on a DK license, but he also intends to use a Swedish license for Elitserien. http://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=86&artikel=6009040 http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/dackarna-varvar-jensen-som-blir-svensk/ http://ekstrabladet.dk/sport/anden_sport/motorsport/speedway/veteran-og-talent-paa-vm-jagt/5527691 https://twitter.com/dmusport/status/589144683437240320
  5. Swedish motorcycle sports federation, SVEMO, have decided to force Antonio to be breathalysed before every meeting but that will only apply to Antonio and not the rest of the riders. http://na.se/sporten/speedway/1.2939677-efter-rattfyllan-tvingar-antonio-blasa-alkotest-varje-match
  6. Sorry typo from me, option = season. He will use a Swedish license in Elitserien this season.
  7. Timo Lahti gets the wild card http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/sgp-lahti-far-wild-card/ ¨http://www.fim-live.com/en/article/lahti-lands-tampere-wild-card/ Notable is that Lahti for this season have decided to use a Swedish license so that his Swedish team can use him as a Swedish rider. Nike Lunna and Jiri Nieminen will be reserves. Krister Gardell is the referee.
  8. C more will broadcast all meetings this season. One meeting each round will be shown live on tv and all three meetings will be streamed live on the csports website (Sweden only). From the first 5 rounds the following meetings will be shown live on tv: 5 maj 19.00 Lejonen – Rospiggarna 12 maj 19.00 Piraterna – Vetlanda 19 maj 19.00 Indianerna – Piraterna 26 maj 19.00 Vetlanda – Indianerna 2 juni 19.00 Dackarna – Ikaros Smederna http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/c-more-sander-alla-elitseriematcher/
  9. Smederna defeated Masarna with 45-44. For Smederan 6 out of 7 riders were local riders, John Lindman being the only out-of-towner in Smederma's team. Full scores here: http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/ikaros-smederna-besegrade-masarna/ and on the link in the previous reply. The teams will meet again on Thursday at Masarna's track.
  10. Friendly meeting between Smederna and Masarna: http://ta.svemo.se/Public/Pages/Competition/DrivingSchedule/CompetitionLiveResult.aspx?Branch=Speedway&Columns=CompetitionInfo,Branch,Name,Arena,Organizer,FromDateShort&Datefilter=Today&pagesize=10&CompetitionId=5428
  11. Nicki Pedersen and Andreas Jonsson have both said to media that the track was too soft/loose. Andreas Jonsson compared it to a beach. So it seems that there was far from enough binder in the shale that was put on the track.
  12. Ole says that the track wasn't his responsibility since the FIM-jury had approved it. http://m.jyllands-posten.dk/sport/motor/ECE7641429/Ole-Olsen-Skandale-er-ikke-min-skyld/ http://m.jyllands-posten.dk/sport/motor/ECE7638117/Polakkerne+er+sure+p%C3%A5+Ole+Olsen+/ http://jyllands-posten.dk/sport/motor/ECE7637411/%C2%BBDet-er-en-skandale-og-folk-faldt-som-fluer%C2%AB/ I don't think the ruts themselves were the problem but, as Nicki and Jonsson both have said, that the surface was too loose which was quite obvious since as soon as a rider was a little too wide it looked like they put the handbrake on.
  13. Philip, I am pretty sure that the riders would prefer Målilla over Stockholm especially since Målilla is regarded as a very good track. Spectator wise I think the already convinced speedway fans also would prefer Målilla while those who have never been to speedway probably won't even have heard about Målilla. Well we'll see, some claim that the rules have changed and that only 12 heats are required.
  14. Andreas Jonsson made a brief comment to his local newspaper regarding the track (at practice) he says it was like a beach, the foot just sunk down and the shale was completely dry. Regarding the actual GP he didn't say that much more then that he thought it was unfortunate and that it likely was due to poor preparations, other then that he didn't want to say anything more. http://norrteljetidning.se/sport/1.2936779--bedrovligt-och-en-rejal-skandal-
  15. Quite possible there have been worse tracks then this but possible they riders just had enough and last night was the thing the tipped it over the edge? Possible, less experienced/notable riders wouldn't complain because their opinions would have the same merit as the ones of Hancock/Pedersen which is likely why just those two, the two most senior riders in the SGP-series, gathered the other riders and asked what they thought about the situation. Would PL-riders have the guts to tell the referee that the track is unsafe? I think not and that why that is not a relevant comparison. I am not against this temporary tracks as a concept and I think it is a necessity too have a few stadium GPs every year but as a complement to the permanent purpose built tracks.
  16. I have seen claims that 12 heats were required for results to stand and that also means no ticket refunds. So I don't think it's too unrealistic to think that the rider's meeting was just a hoax meaning that it was decided already from the beginning to call it off after 12 heats so that the results will be valid and so that they don't would have to pay out ticket refunds.
  17. The initiative to have the riders meeting came from Nicki and Greg, Nicki also says that the organizers have shown previously that they can make these types of temporary tracks but that it requires more "supervision". He also said that it is rumoured that the organizers tried to use a new type of shale material for this event. http://www.fyens.dk/sport/Nicki-Pedersen-Jeg-vil-ikke-slaas-til-lirekassemand/artikel/2697269 https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=sv&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fyens.dk%2Fsport%2FNicki-Pedersen-Jeg-vil-ikke-slaas-til-lirekassemand%2Fartikel%2F2697269&edit-text=
  18. It's the third time in three straight seasons that BSI screws up. Also according to Janek Konikiewicz riders have been forbidden to talk to media don't know if its true though especially since there is an interview with Gollob now. https://twitter.com/JKonikiewicz/status/589519861736431616
  19. Also the next problem is that the next couple of GPs are Tampere, Prague and Cardiff tracks that hardly will produce top class speedway.
  20. Also the next problem is that the next couple of GPs are Tampere, Prague and Cardiff tracks that hardly will produce top class speedway.
  21. Swedish commentators make a comparison to the Scandinavian GP at Ullevi in the early years of the previous decade when they waited until everyone was inside before the cancelled it. That GP never recovered from that.
  22. Riders don't want to ride more in this track. They have an internal briefing in progress.
