10M € sounds a bit exaggerated? In my city about 1-2 years ago, they changed the two coolant units which are used to freeze the ice at the two rinks at Eskilstuna ice stadium, which has one outdoor ice rink which is about 11340m2 big and one in door icehockey rink which is about 1800m2. I don't remember the exact cost but I doubt it cost 10M €. Maybe 1M € but not 10M € so is it really that much more expensive to do the same in NL?

You are wrong. Have in mind that the the rules (which is the same for all FIM/FIA...federations) says that alcohol is forbidden during competition not that it is only forbidden to ride/drive while under influence of alcohol. Why? Because "during a competition" is a wider definition that allows doping/alcohol tests to be done before a competitor is allowed to ride/drive/fly in a competition but anyone that is caught still can be charged with being under the influence during a competition (as if they would have ridden/driven/flown while being under the influence) despite not having ridden/driven/flown a single millimetre. When does the competition start for GPs? It starts when the riders arrive at the track and sign in for practice and it ends when they leave the track after the GP is finished. Was the breath test done during a competition? Yes it was, so it does not matter if the test was done before or during or after his heats, As soon as he had signed in for the GP and were at the track, it was during a competition and thus he was under the influence of alcohol during a competition. Whether he was standing in his pitbox or being on a motorcycle on the track does not make any difference according to the rules. It is the same things as that Formula 1 and MotoGP competitions does not start when the actual race begins but rather when the first practice begins.

I read an article today belonging to a news paper in the town where Darcy's Swedish team is from and according to it, the team manager in Darcy's Swedish team have decided to start and negotiate a new contract with Darcy. You just gotta wonder if MF and Stefan Andersson have any moral at all and if they can see the whole picture rather then just an egoistic view on what's good for their team? What "signals" does this send to younger riders? Damn you if you drill a hole in your silencer but drink and ride? Sure no problem.

I've been told that he is expected to require about 3 months to recover from his injuries. Obviously a very tough situation for him but on the other hand it could have been worse.

I don't know. It has been very quiet so far with rumours in general and I haven't seen specific about Emil. However I think we can say that he won't be riding for any of Vetlanda, Lejonen, Indianerna and possibly Dackarna. That leaves Smederna, Piraterna and Rospiggarna. Emil have ridden for Piraterna a number of years ago but if I remember it correctly, he only rode a few meetings, then there were rumours about him and Piraterna's team manager Stefan Andersson not getting along. That leaves Smederna and Rospiggarna. Both teams could probably fit him in in their "1st" lineups. However would either of these team be interested in paying that quite hight salary that Emil most likely would ask for? I'd say that they probably wouldn't unless some big sponsor stepped in and offered to pay his salary. So I think there might be a possibility that we won't see Emil next year in Elitserien but again I don't know anything and it's hard to speculate when there is little or no info available. ------ Smederna have announced that they will present two new signings next week at a lunch meeting at Munktellmuseet for press and sponsors.

Ok I get your point, however the article does say that Pawel will make his debut on a "stor hoj" on Thursday in Vladivostok,' which means that he will make his debute on 500cc in Vladisvotok on Thursday. Then my post also said that he just moved up on 500cc and that he was supposed to ride in a local event in Vladivostok. His participation was then confirmed by Arnieg.
