  1. Kim Nilsson is still uncertain for this round due to his neck injury.
  2. No, not wrongly set since the measurement tool is just a piece of soliid metal with a fixed size. So most likely it has always been too small or it hss changed size recently. ------- The postponed meeting between Piraterna and Rospiggarna will be held on Tuesday 18 July.
  3. Västervik statement: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=pfbid0p5DPeaPvD9MDExcB4bRrSp7wJVY6t83KJSSty3oPAoJh9rrJzrbZbTCP4zeohhnQl&id=100048530876966 Basically they use a fixed size håltolk ( plug gauge?). According to Västervik it was noticed that the gauge fit into the carburettors (=they were believed to be too big)which never happened before. At that point the race management was brought in and the faulty carburettors was locked in for further investigation. The carburettors was brought to manufacturer Mikael Blixt measured them and according to him the carburettors were not oversized According to Blixt and Indianerna carburettor sizes were (in millimetres and I assume limit is 34 mm): 34,051 34,100 33,960 33,990 Also to answer your question #2 @stewmac I don't know but I don't think every bike/engine is checked, but rather random check. [speculation] It could be that someone was suspicious of Kowalski's engines and wanted them checked, isn't be the first time someone wants an opponent bike checked.
  4. Does Kowalski use Blixt as a tuner? From what I understand from Indianernas post the carbs were checked by blixt.
  5. Well, it is easy to be fast when you are using oversized carburettors. Kowalski was caught with two oversized carburettors at scrutineering in Västervik today for the meeting between Västervik and Indianerna. The carburettors were confiscated. He was allowed to check in two other carburettors and was allowed to participate in the meeting accordingly to the rules. https://speedwayfans.se/indianforare-ertappad-med-for-stora-forgasare-i-vastervik/
  6. Might be some delays for tonight's meetings due rain in both Västervik anf Motala.
  7. Doyle was seen in Västervik this morning and Fricke posted RACEDAY on his socials so both should be in the lineup tonight.
  8. Kim Nilsson had a crash yesterday and scans have revealed a small fracture in one of the neck vertebrae. It will require some more checks to determine full status.
  9. I would imagine that there is allot of pressure on them given that really aren't many Swedish riders around and not many new coming up. Gustav has an average of 0,737/heat which is about 2,5p/meeting. Dont know if was paid by point scored or if he had a fixed sum/meeting. Any how I dont think he earned particular well which makes it hard to keep up with costs which adds to the stress.... Not to be considered fscts. just my opinion and speculation. The only fact is that it's fairly common that riders have a fixed sum per meeting or some kind of ladder payment system.
  10. It was just announced that Johannes Stark moves from Rospiggarna to Indianerna.
  11. Indianernasn U21 rider Gustav Grahn has announced that he is taking a break from speedway. He says that he no longer feels motivated and that he because of that haven't been feeling well. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid022hK1d74EZvUMeTQrvwtdTNZEyFBG5AQVQUiQZ3bUB5oqXjMGfUmo1HaAuruuzkel&id=100063626586572
  12. The SM-final hasn't really been a popular event for many years now, neither to host or go attend.
  13. He switches license/nationality depending on which suites him best for the moment. Swedish licence for racing in Sweden so that he counts as a Swedish rider for the agreed quota. Then Finnish licence for qualifiers (if he still does them) because its much stronger competition for the qualifier nominations. IMO, use one licence at the time. If he wants to use the Swedish licence that is fine, but then that applies to all competititions for the entire season and no switching back and forth during the season.
  14. Whoever (outside of Lindgren and Kim Nilsson) finishing as the best placed rider tomorrow will be the wild card for Målilla GP.
  15. From what I'e heard or read speculations/rumours that might be some changes for next year, like only 2 gp in Poland, one at BV, none at Cardiff......
  16. Lindgren had some health issues related to post covid last year and a dip in his perfomance. However he has recovered. He is only 38 (in september) and nowadays riders continue to be in their prime well into their 40:s.
  17. no, points are awarded based on finishing position. Bartosz won and was awarded 20 points. Points scored in the actual race doesn't carrry over to the total gp standings.
  18. In FIM TRACK RACING APPENDICES 2023, under 1., last paragraph "Actions judged by the officials responsible to be contrary to the FIM regulations - or judged to be unsportsmanlike or against the best interests of the sport at the event in question - are subject to disciplinary actions as provided for by the arbitration and disciplinary code" Perhaps, it's time to hold Doyle accountable for real? Then maybe he will get the message?
