  1. If the Race and final ends up in Czech Rep, the question is which of GB, Poland and DK that won't host a semi-final.
  2. Elitserien Round 10 Elit Vetlanda - Valsarna Elit Vetlanda Leon Madsen Martin Vaculik Emil Sayfutdinov Thomas H Jonasson Jason Crump David Ruud Jacob Thorssell Valsarna Grigory Laguta Artem Laguta Tomas Gapinski Robert Kosiecha Daniel Nermark Daniel Gunnestad Robin Thörnkvist Gunnestad replaces Palovaara who have signed for Dackarna. Gunnetsad is, since the start of this season, riding on a Swedish license. Which means he can ride as the mandatory U21 rider and also as a guestrider. Valsarna are still in a very tough situation financially but intend to finish the season. 3. personally i prefer the "cross-word type" of racecard, with the riders listed to the left (vertically) and the heat numbers listed at the top (horizontally), with the heat's riders marked by squares.
  4. Oh but it is something wrong with it. All teams cannot use it. Only the teams that are at least 6p behind. Its the same with the tactical substitute. The team that is leading cannot use it. Why should the loosing team be rewarded for being 6p (or more) behind? Some say its because the want "excitement", but the joker and ts are not exiting they are a joke. let the best team win by letting all riders ride their heats. I think speedway would benefit from it. I have seen a few meetings in Sweden this year where the "weaker" team was winning until the loosing started using T-subs, in the second half of the meeting and, thanks to the ts rule, managed to turn ita round and win. Not a fair rule in anyway, without the ts the teams who lost would have won.
  5. agreed, it was the same in the WRC for several years when the leader of the championship and or leader of the rally were forced to be the first car on the road. Usually this is very disadvantageous but the FIA have come to their senses (finnally) to this season and gone back to qualifying+reversed starting order, Also some car racing series used to put extra weight in the cars that won a race.
  6. no it isn't since there isn't one. only a few guest books but not a real forum like this one.
  7. No the only cheating is the joker rule, double points if anything is cheating. The only way it could work (in SWC) is to allow all teams to use it once regardless of score and also neither it or tactial substitute should be allowed in heats 17-20.

  9. looked like it worked out pretty good for the danes. Imo what Britain needs is youth speedway and speedway schools, but since there is no(?) 80cc tracks and most (?) teams are owned by promoters it probably isn't likely.
  10. Gollob seems to have been inspired by Harris. Correct decision by ref. on the latest overlook of the track it looked like a pretty good sized crowd.
  11. the poor/unreliable weather the past weeks have probably scared away some.
  12. R.a.r. see my reply on the previous page. In addition to that they will have the annual "enkronasmatch". Which means that all sponsors and regular persons who have signed up for it. will pay 1kr for each spectator that attends The meeting on Tuesday. Fingers crossed for sunny weather and a large crowd.
  13. current SMHI.se weather forecast fore tomorrow says showers during the early afternoon and then sunny or partially cloudy during the rest of the day and the evening. current Yr.no forecast says sunny or partially cloudy all day except between 13.00 and 14.00 local time.
  14. Smederna have signed Charlie Gjedde as a replacement for Rasmus Eklöf. Rasmus is injured and is not expected to be back until at the end of the season. http://ekuriren.se/sport/speedway/1.1489639-smederna-varvar-gjedde
  15. just a heads up for those who are going to Målilla this week. As mentioned before there have been allot of rain in the area. With flooding and flushed away roads as a result This means that currently the road (road 40) between Eksjö-Mariannelund-Vimmerby have very limited accessibility (flooding). and the road between Mariannelund and Hultsfred (road 129) are closed until further notice. see this map for current info.
  16. Viktor Palovaara leaves Valsarna for Dackarna. Valsarna will replace him with Daniel Gunnestad. Gunnestad rides on a Swedish license since May this year. It seems though that Valsarna will be able to continue the season. The other riders have managed to come to agreements with Valsarna and they say that they will be able to full fill the season. http://nwt.se/sport/article1135587.ece
  17. Unfortunately the area around målills have been Hit by heavy rains. The following link shows the Situation in Mariannelund 36km north of Målilla. http://www.svt.se/nyheter/sverige/mariannelund-oversvammat-av-skyfall More info: http://m.sverigesradio.se/artikel/5184183?programId=86
  18. really great to see the young Danes showing the old boys how to ride speedway.
  19. sorry misread your question, Nicholls first came to Sweden in the late 90's and his first team in Sweden was Smederna were he rode until he left for Hammarby at the end of 2006 when he left for Hammarby. Then he rode for Hammarby, Vargarna, Valsarna, Dackarna and now back to Vargarna.
  20. Where he replaces Scott Nicholls who goes in the opposite direction (to Vargarna).
  21. It was a very close and tense meeting all the way to the chequered flag in heat 15. Curly rode very well, good to see that his form is on the rise. another special mention should goto Rasmus Broberg. 3+2 from him yesterday despite being sidelined for most of the season. His move in heat 2 was "sensational" although he didn't manage to get any point from it, it was still a nice performance. Rasmus started from gate 2, with Agö on he outside and Nilsson on the inside. The two Örnarna riders took the start and moved into a team riding position. However Rasmus found a non-existing gap between them and just dived into it. Unfortunately Rasmus just didn't have quite enough speed and the Örnarna boys could pull away from him. Fortunately Henrik Karlsson rode well and managed to pass both Nilsson and Agö and secure 3p. Heat 8 was a total mess as well. First start attempt: a very nasty looking crash (typical first bend crash) bikes and riders all over the place. Luckily all riders managed to escape without injuries and they all could ride in the restart. Second attempt: Swisch Agö does T/T. Third attempt: In comes Nilsson and reprises Agö's move and does a T/T as well. Fourth attempt: all three riders successfully manages to gate, Misiek shows that he have not forgotten how to ride around Smedstadion (he used to ride for Smederna until Smederna went broke). Henderson and Broberg gets the freebie points. Heat 14, Smederna's own Batman and Robin does again, bringing home another 5-1 victory for Smederna. Heat 15, Batman and Robin gates but Batman was passed by Alexandr Lokatajew at the end of the first or second lap, securing a 46-44 victory for Smederna and 3 team points. I wasn't particular happy with the track though, too slick for my taste resulting in mostly processional racing. So more grip on the outside please.
