  1. yes i think so too, Mat what do feel about a Norwegian winning the Polish champs? If it would have been in Sweden i would have been very upset.
  2. I agree i think Toninho would benefit from a year off from the GP series and its not a too wild guess that Fredrik Lindgren will take his place.
  3. Swedish Elitserien team Kaparna have had their application for an Elitlicense for the 2008 season rejected by Swedish Motorcycle Sports Federation; SVEMO. The Decision can be read in this file (pdf file, in swedish) http://www.svemo.se/file_out.php?id=2034 kaparna has been struggling this year especillay finacially. One of the reasons for that is the lack of hometrack and that they several times have been riding with a line up who's total average has been lower then the determined "floor average" resulting in heavy fines. Also they have had alot of "sickness" in the team and like yesterday riders who dont show up. The rejection was decided since there was several uncertainties about kaparna's finances and arena situations and kaparna have not replied SVEMO who several times have sent inquiries about those questions. Among other things Kaparna have not used certified auditors(?) meaning that the financial report cannot be approved.
  4. no i said JAGODA!! does anyone know if he has recovered from his illness?
  5. awful but they did ride together last Tuesday with no problem in heat 14 where they did a very nice 5-1 team ride against Adams.
  6. No Jagus will NOT ride in the GPs next year if he misses top 8. He has clearly stated that GP riding isnt anything for him since it will drain energy from his league riding. I think the decision has to do with his accident in Eskilstuna (swedish GP9 when he got hit by Nicki. Jagoda missed alot of league meeting becasue of that.
  7. Go Jagus!!! However i'v heard reports saying he is sick?? he's not riding tonight because of that.
  8. Jarek Hampel will not be riding in Latvia according to speedwayworld; http://www.speedwayworld.tv/en/news/a8276 I Assume its PK who gets to step in once more. the Draw: Draw to the Latvian GP
  9. my guess is Kaspar he is still young 23 y.o. and i think that he is a bit better and more experienced then Zabik and KK showed in the SWC final that he can perform well even under massive pressure. Another thing that makes me say KK is that he ides in all 3 major leagues; Sweden, Poland and England. That makes him more experienced on a bigger variation of track types from smaller narrower english tracks to larger wider polish tracks. You should not forget youngster Buczkowski either. He might very well be a contender in some 5-6 years from now.
  10. No i strongly disagree with that. Scandinavia is solely Sweden and Norway = the two countries that together makes the Scandinavian Peninsula. Neither Finland or Denmark are a part of Scandinavia. You should use "the Nordic Countries" instead of Scandinavia if you want to include Finland and Denmark (and Iceland), Nicki has been the most consistent rider this year but IMO Leigh Adams would be the rider who are most worthy a World Champion Title. For many years he has been up there finishing top 3 or top 5 but somehow he has never manage to climb the final step on the ladder.
  11. i think he meant in which cities/towns they meetings will be held: this 2 is the confired ones: 7/8 19.00 Kaparna - Dackarna, Mariestad 21/8 19.00 Kaparna - Indianerna, Mariestad Mariestad on a Map
  12. this isnt really a new thing he has been riding with polish license for a few years now. He also rode for Poland in SWC 2 years ago.
  13. well this what you get with a small narrow track and rain...
  14. smederna have also re-registred Jesper Brolin. I dont know why really i though he had quit speedway? Maybe Tarabanko has more information?
  15. yeah agree. if i could decide Race Off in MÃ¥lilla and Final at Smedstadion
  16. well if you think about it Kennett usually rides in England on thursdays and you dont have any use of a rider that arent availible?
  17. Team Bikab (Smedernas Allsvenskan team) has signed Kalle Lindgren who earlier this season has been riding for Griparna.
  18. well dont know exactly how the agreements between teams look like. However all teams must register/unregister their drivers at SVEMO (Swedish Motorcycle Federation). So if a rider moves from one team to another this is how its done (when a rider changes team): 1. The Riders current team sends in paper work to SVEMO to unregister the specific rider. 2. The riders new team have to send in the agreed contract that they have with the rider and registration paperworks to SVEMO so that SVEMO has all paperwork at 8am on the friday after the transfer window closes. Also SVEMO can also decline the right for teams to use new riders that hasnt been registred earlier. At least thats what happened to Smederna in 2002 i think when they wanted to register Kapspar. I dont remember exactly why but kaspar wasn't granted a license for riding in Sweden.
  19. i dont think the dates are set for next year and i think that dates wont be decided about until its decided where all GP should be held.
  20. Here is some more information: http://www.speedwayworld.tv/en/news/a8190?...4356992b32fd7db
  21. well i dont really agree it depends on what kind of track a meeting would be held at but i'm quite sure that most Elitserien Teams would win on their home track. On swindons track it would a much harder fight of course and in that case maybe only top 4 would manage win.
  22. i think that he is flying in to give it a try on practice tomorrow to see if he even can ride a bike and then decide if he feels fit enough for Saturday.
  23. yaeh as is aid his first season was quite good with 67+23 points in 11 meetings. Then i dont know what happened he scored very few points the following years probably beasue he turned up with engines only suitable for english tracks. A story that has been repeated several times for Smederna with David, Carl Stonehewer, Shaun tacey (actually he rode for T Bikab in Allsvenskan) and this year Andre Compton.
  24. dont worry. Hans pushed Nicki out towards the fence NIcki fell ambulance came in Nicki then felt fine or atleast good enough and stood up walked back to the pits and then won the restart. Hans was excluded.
