  1. Filip Hjelmland won't be riding. He is out for the rest of the season due to injury.
  2. I think you misread his post. What Al said was that Cook together with Pawlicki and Holder would be the three riders from this season that would not ride in next years Speedway GP season.
  3. There is a reason to why substances are banned. Some improve the person's stamina/strength and etc. Others affect the person's mind/perception in in a negative way meaning that one shouldn't operate motor vehicles or heavy machinery while taking those substances. Alcohol is one example on the latter, some medicines also have this effect. If he is taking such pain killers he should absolutely not be riding a speedway bike against other rider because he would be a danger to himself and others.
  4. The track is not really called Gröndal though even if some people call it like that. The track name is Eskilstuna motorstadion or Smedstadion. Gröndals motorsportområde is a combined designation for all of the tracks at Gröndal/Eskilstuna motorstadion.
  5. Lindbäck already qualified and I think Lindgren is pretty safe for top 8 unless injury which is the Swedes sorted. For Denmark, we have a qualified rider in Iversen. As for Nicki, I'd think that he would be considered for a wild card if he finishes 9th but not if he finishes 10th or worse. It depends on how much FIM/BSI feel that they need two danes. I personally hope that Nicki finished top 8 but I don't think he will. Both Nicki and Greg received wild cards for this season and I am not fond of giving out wild cards to the same riders two years in a row.
  6. I expect Greg to manage a top 8 but if he doesn't then it has to be it.
  7. It's located north of Eskilstuna along the road (Riksväg 56) to Västerås. https://goo.gl/maps/ojtwrjF9Yw42
  8. I have been there once, quite many years ago. You will find wooden benches on all tracks although Smederna's track have a grandstand along the start/finish straight with foldable plastic seats as well as another roofed grandstand (with wooden benches). Sannahed also has a small grandstand with foldable plastic seats.
  9. Lack of interest from other tracks AND that Målilla MK / Dackarna do a good job with organizing it.
  10. You can follow the rain that is approaching on the link below, enter Målilla where it says "sök ort" and click the magnifying glass. https://www.smhi.se/vadret/nederbord-molnighet/radar-blixt#colorblind=false,layerselected=5min
  11. looks better now. As for as I know Dackarna are able to cover the track so I think it will be alright.
  12. I don't know about the level of the 250cc class but Philip Hellström Bängs but he has been very successful in the 250cc class. He is also only 15 years old (born 2003).
  13. So has Berntzon and Berntzon (2nd) was ahead of Ljung (3rd) last Saturday in the Swedish CH final. My opinion is that wild card should be given to up and coming riders and not riders like Ljung who have passed zenit already, especially when the younger rider is having a good season like Berntzon is having.
  14. It is a logiocal choice but I am not sure that he would be a good team manager. He is isn't exactly know to be a "mr fire in the eyes" type of guy but rather the opposite. Is he a guy that could lift a team when being 6-8 points down? I think he might be more suitable as sports director or something like that because he seems like nice guy and quite likely have good connections with other riders.
  15. Rospiggarna's team manager Mikael Teurnberg have announced that he retires as team manager for Rospiggarna. He will also retires as chairman of the board and sports director. He says that he is feeling that his energy is about to run out. It is not know who his successor will be. https://www.svt.se/sport/speedway/rospiggarnas-lagledare-slutar-efter-nio-ar
  16. I havent seen this meeting but there is a reason Sannahed is my favourite track.
  17. With 2 rounds to go the standings are: Dackarna 22 points and 1.2085 quota points. (won points divided by lost points) Smederna 20 points - 1.1906 Rospiggarna 19 points - 1.1580 Vetlanda 18 points - 1.0710 Indianerna 11 points - 0.8625 Lejonen 10 points - 0.9411 Västervik 10 points - 0.8588 Masarna 3 points 0.7893 Next round: Smederna - Indianerna Vetlanda - Rospiggarna Lejonen - Dackarna Västervik-Masarna Final round Masarna-Vetlanda Indianerna-Västervik Dackarna-Eskilstuna Smederna Rospiggarna-Lejonen
  18. Smederna are truly awful tonight. Lindgren is only 6+1 for example. Woentin crashed in heat 2 and couldn't ride in the restart or the rest of the meeting. Lots of lost points there.
  19. I agree with RR that it looked like an EF or something like that.
  20. Apparently MJJ crashed in Denmark during the Danish final and he is supposed to have some pain in his arm so will see if he rides or if the use R/R or another rider for him. Yeah it's pretty good (remember the gp from a few weeks ago?),
  21. Thanks for the reminder, I forgot to add the information even thought I thought about it just before pressing send. I will also be going to Avesta on Tuesday,
  22. Round 12 Preliminary line-ups: All meetings start at 19.00 Swedish time. Rospiggarna (39) - Dackarna (51) #televised on Freesports. Their opponents are also allowed to use a weaker team and have also committed to not use the strongest possible team. Smederna have therefore elected to rest Iversen tonight and instead give Linus Eklöf a chance. 23. SWC at Gorzow is a million times better than a glorified pairs event at any track. And SWC at any decent track is a much better event than a glorified pairs event at any track
