For Smederna - Lejonen, Holder is riding but RR for Pawlicki.

Sure they could but how much would it cost to rent the stadium? I suspect that 30-40k fans Isn't enough to get a positive (financial) result from such a gp.

I don't think there is room for two large stadium-GPs in Britain and I also think that the rent for Wembley and the Olympic stadium is too high i relation to how much income BSI would get from a GP held at either stadium.

Hjelmland isn't really a new guy. He rode 3 heats in 1 meeting last season and 3 heats in 1 meeting two years ago. MIllberg is new to me as well.

I agree he should BUT it is easy for us to say. He isn't the first sports person to try and cling on too their career. I believe Nicki when he says that it isn't about the money. It is about being afraid of what will happen after the career. What to do after the career, about being "forgotten".

Greg had an MRI done and it shows that he will need a surgery to fix his shoulder injury which likely means that he'll miss the rest of the season. Greg is considering several options since the Swedish doctor he normally use is on vacation. Greg even considers flying to California to have a surgery done there. Once the surgery is done, the shoulder will need 6-8 weeks to heal properly.

It depends on if Smederna is allowed to replace Laguta quick enough which doesn't seem likely at the moment.

C more's tv-broadcasting deal expires after this season and according to Speedway racing, neither Cmore or anyone else are interested in continuing to show live from the Swedish Elitserien. There are several though that are interested in showing some form of shorter summary afterwards. Clubs seems to think that the best solution would be SVT (Swedish equivalent of BBC) since it would likely attract the highest viewer count which would be attractive for sponsors.

In general for all/world speedway. 1. as cohesive regulations as possible for all leagues. Most other league sports have the same rules/regulations while speedway have very different rules from one country to another.Rules/regulations such as R/R , tactical substitute and etc. 2. No league should be allowed to block riders from riding in other leagues. If there are to be restrictions, they should come from FIM after all national federations have approved such regulations. Restrictions of number of leagues a rider can ride in is preventing a rider from earning money. 3. Stricter enforcement when preventing inured riders from riding. I want to see healthy riders not injured riders who might be a danger to both themselves and others. Concussion (comotion cerebrI) should be an automatic 1-2 week "rest ban". severe concussion (Contusio cerebri) should be 3-4 weeks resting ban. A briken arm will heal in about 6 weeks but a brain that have been concussed might not heal at all, especially not if concussed multiple times. If really unlucky concussion can cause life long damage to your brain. 4. Much better co-operation between national federations/leagues when it comes to schedule planning, priorities and etc. Swedish Elitserien suffers greatly because it is almost impossible to find a suitable date for postponed meetings because there are rarely any date where there aren't a meeting in GB, DK or Poland. Also if R/R is used for a rider one evening he shouldn't be allowed to ride the next evening. Like Robert Lambert who's English team used R/R for him on Monday evening while he rode without a problem yesterday evening. For the Swedish leagues I would like to see a merge between Elitserien and Allsvenskan because there are not enough teams to support two leagues now. I would also adjust the strength of the league so that teams would have 2 international stars and 1 decent foreign rider per line up and then 3-4 Swedish riders (depending on using 6 or 7 riders teams). The issue would be that the weakest Allsvenskan team is too weak compared to the current strongest Eltserien teams. R/R and Tac sub should be removed completely. Simply 7 riders riding 4 heats each. Reserves can be used for 1-5 rider in case of injury during meeting but that should be conditioned by info from track doctor.

Apparently Nicki will announce his future plans today. He is supposed to have talked about his future with his family to get their input on what he should do.

With the English weather in April in mind, this sounds like a high risk of being postponed.
