  1. Yeah, because Woffinden has no clue on big fast tracks does he. I'd say Cook, Nicholls and Harris have a better chance of beating him at Monmore a track Tai was NEVER particularly dominant on.
  2. Because Woffinden isn't choosing to dip out of the sport's highest competition.. in fact he is doing quite the opposite.
  3. Brilliant post, agree 100% with every word of it. Just as Nicki Pedersen has done before the Danish Final quite a few times... yet earlier in the thread we're told how you wouldn't see riders from other countries do it. Holder is another one mentioned.... how often does he ride in the Australian Final? Basically all we're seeing is the usual British trait of bashing someone who is doing well.. jealousy for the most part.. xenophobia from others.
  4. Darn you're right. He's unproven on any other tracks. As for not racing in the British Final? Good call if the semi's are either side of the GP. Winning the World Title is his No 1 priority. I do find it amusing though that many of the people moaning he isn't riding in it, are the very same people who were moaning he WAS riding in it when not racing in this country.
  5. It wasn't one man and facebook. CVS stated the meeting was off prior to the Belle Vue statement as did the official Edinburgh website.
  6. No doubt you believed you had a burst water pipe too. Of course they were. Bless.
  7. No, the facts are Belle Vue bothered to announce it wasn't going at ahead at 6:30 last night.
  8. Well it wasn't 1 day, or two days. It was 5 days. As for 'it doesn't matter'... brilliant! It's little wonder speedway struggles to keep its fanbase.
  9. Codswallop. The meeting was never going to be on yet once again Belle Vue were messing folk around. Well done to the other clubs and to the BSPA for calling Belle Vue's bluff and forcing them to behave in a professional manner for once.
  10. And Star Lady's. And the Belle Vue promotion. And everyone else's who have followed this story, bar yours.
  11. That's what it says quite clearly and only an argumentative thick lackey would say otherwise. It clearly states the track is the responsibility of the contractors. It clearly states the contractors were working on the track. It clearly states Colin Meredith was giving advice. Anything else is in your head. Why don't you do your club a favour and shut up with your nonsense. You do nothing but bring shame and embarrassment to the club you claim you support. At times like this it is the last thing they need. Of course you won't, you'll be back with more of what you think are clever remarks and drag the Aces name further through the mud.
  12. If they have any sense (could be a problem that) then they will TAKE THEIR TIME. Don't rush to meet deadlines of meetings a few days later. Take the time, get the track spot on and then finally they can reap the rewards. The facility and the track I am 100% sure WILL be brilliant... just stop making a hash of it in the meantime!
  13. It's quite clear Belle Vue's bluff has been called on this one and they've been forced into admitting the truth. Yet again, they embarrass themselves when it wasn't necessary to do so.
  14. You don't say. The absolute most predictable event of the year. Belle Vue really must think fans were born yesterday.
  15. You will never get that from Drop a Cog. Even when he is wrong, again, like he clearly he is here he will try and twist words to make it appear he was right.
  16. Indeed, but of course we are none the wiser who is doing the BS'ing.
  17. Hmm,, things are becoming murky. It seems everyone, including two high ranking officials of the BSPA are/were under the impression that Good Friday is off. Some Belle Vue lackeys on here got up in arms when this news was leaked and appeared to be very irate.. Surely Belle Vue aren't continuing to act like children and have issued their statement today to stick two fingers up and say they are all wrong.... only to then postpone it tomorrow...
  18. Belle Vue Statement as follows:- "Belle Vue Speedway - Good Friday Update Belle Vue Speedway wish to sincerely thank all the fans that have supported the club during this challenging time and we apologise to everyone for any inconvenience that last Saturday's abandonment has caused. An inspection of the circuit was made this morning (Wednesday March 23rd) of the remedial works carried by the track contractors on Turns 3 & 4, and progress of the works has been very positive. A further inspection of the track will be made later today with a view to arranging a closed practice session tomorrow, and if all is well it is the club's intention to proceed with their Good Friday fixture as planned at 1pm." This is excellent news, let's hope everything goes well during practice tomorrow and importantly in the meeting itself. It should also be noted that they have actually now apologised.. better late than never.
  19. Belle Vue statement now issued, looks like 'hopefully' all systems go for Good Friday, as long as the track holds up from a practice tomorrow. That IS excellent news and I just hope that they aren't rushing it and there are no problems on Friday.
  20. It's unbelievable (well, actually its not given their history) that after promising a statement at 9am on Wednesday morning, nothing has been forthcoming. Do they not understand anything about damage control? At the very least, issue something stating there will be a delay due to legal complexities. I'm beginning to wonder if Ouch/DropaCog/FredFlance/Flubber are actually Belle Vue fans as they seem determined to continue to drag out and escalate threads about their club as much as possible.
  21. Maybe they are operating in a different time zone.
  22. Belle Vue were the promoters of the meeting, as such it is their responsibility to ensure everything is in place for the meeting to go ahead. That means thoroughly testing and checking all areas to ensure there will be no major problems on the day. They failed to do that. Whether or not the track, or base of the track, was not put down correctly by contractors is neither here nor there. It was the Belle Vue promotions responsibility to have checked this before running a meeting. Belle Vue and some of its fans are doing themselves no favours at all by continuing this facade. An error was made, it obviously wasn't intentional and no doubt too much faith was put into the contractors to get the job right. Some testing was done, clearly not enough to truly identify if the track was fit to race. It's a damn unfortunate chain of events. What is needed now, or was needed was damage control and the subsequent statement from Belle Vue only enflamed the situation further. The post that Philip Rising made explains things far better, indeed E I Addio also posted something that the Belle Vue promotion could have used. On the plus side, the facility looks magnificent, personally I still can't wait to visit later in the year and my enthusiasm for that visit hasn't been damaged in any way, shape or form. I was truly gutted when I learned of these events on Saturday night, I truly hope Belle Vue can get over this and get things up and running at the stadium and that it hasn't done too much damage long term. Continued denials of responsibility won't help.
  23. Yawn. You're amusing (to you) little trick of using multiple accounts is old and tiresome now Wibble/Fred Flange/Drop a Cog. As are your pathetic attempts to defend an indefensible position, it just simply makes you look a bigger fool than everyone already thinks. You joined that club a long time ago
  24. Indeed, both meetings appear to have already been called off, but they aren't going to make an announcement till Wednesday. It just gets more inept..
