  1. Thanks Subedei, that was the figure I had in mind but wasn't too sure.
  2. Ok next question.....what do you think would be a suitable amount to take for an adult and a child for 4 days. I would need to buy meals, drinks and souvenirs.
  3. I thought you was going to make sure I got back to the hotel alright Fairy4ever...or is that James job bearing in mind he is too young to drink and will probably be the only sober one.
  4. Thanks tomazpozrl, I will also post the link on the Update site.
  5. Yep I'm going, have booked with Travelplus on the instructions of Hubby. Really looking forward to it... Alas I am not a Reading fan though, will an Ippo one do?
  6. I have thought of that...but what I am really trying to push for is the 3 day tour that the Supporters club arranges...now that would be fun
  7. I am already working on Hubby to persuade him to let me stay over next year in Cardiff...it may be a long journey for those living in the north, but it is just as long for some of us in the south!! We left straight after the fireworks, got back to the coach and finally reached our home in Suffolk at 5.45am and this was after leaving our house the previous morning at 8.45 to go to the coach pick up point....a very tiring weekend.
  8. I didn't even get to the pub!! I made a point of making sure I was inside the stadium, drink sorted by the time they came out and I am glad I did. I agree with others, it is never too soon for our youngsters to experience a chance like that, and I for one, look forward to seeing some of them taking part in the GP's in the future. Just if it could be a little later next year...and a few more heats please.
  9. I didn't even get to the forum meet up but it was nice for others to find me at the stadium.
  10. That confused me as well...I was sure it was George who's bike broke down in the second heat...and then they announced he had finished, At least it's not just me.
  11. Well I think Lewis Bridger won the first one....apart from that I have no idea, people were moving into seats and hubby came back with food and drink. Must admit though, they looked pretty good on the track.
  12. It was certainly packed where we were and I must say, I enjoyed the view from the top tier (we were also on the 2nd bend) but boy am I shattered today, we finally got in at 6am!!
  13. For those unable to attend or who haven't got Sky, updates on the GP will be available Here
  14. Only 4? Blimey Ipswich have got 5 full coaches and loads others going by car!!
  15. I am hoping to be there in time for them as well...... Bit pointless staying in the bar as I am not allowed to drink at the moment.
  16. Ooo errrr If I can be very nice to my hubby, you could be having me for company as well Fairy4ever!!
  17. I was happy with the result...yet again I did well with my bets, each way on Zagar and Nicki...Yippeeee
  18. For those without the benefit of Sky, updates on this meeting will be available Here
  19. Not sure but think this may have the result http://www.speedwayforum.dk/?action=shownews&id=58
  20. Think I may have found where they are doing some results...although my Latvian is nowt http://forum.speedway.ru/index.php?showtopic=1187&view=all
  21. Same here Lioness When I was 5 and painting a picture, the teacher took the paintbrush out of my left hand and put it in my right hand and said I had to use that hand to paint, draw and write......I was a stubborn little bugger even then, my response was to get my paint brush and paint the teachers face with it, then the surrounding area and finally to tell them I will use what ever hand I want to!! They let me use my left hand after that.
  22. Braver than me then Tabby, who was scared witless when I found myself lost in Copenhagen!! Not quite sure I enjoyed that experience.
  23. I was quite late getting my tickets for this year.....I usually ring up on the day they go on sale..unfortunately they went on sale the day of the WTC final and that wiped us out financially untill the end of the month, so it was around the beginning of September we booked them. Not where we really wanted to be, but close enough and in the first row, which is what I specified (and it was the lowest price tickets too). Means I have a handy place to hang my 9ft x 6ft British flag with all the British riders names on it.
