  1. Totally agree with you ! We were on the 4th bend also, with all the Poles ! They are just brilliant, and I continue to admire the way they are so patriotic and really get into the swing of it, support their riders and just have fun and enjoy themsleves. Those huge flags were just great ! I really enjoyed the eveing too and thought the racing was great. Funnily enough I too woke up with a chant in my head "Greg-orsz.....Wa-la-sek.......!! Greg-orsz....Wa-la-sek" !!!
  2. Was he riding last night.....? Can't say I noticed.... !
  3. I loved watching Zorro ride last night. He throughly deserved his place after the way he rode, especially after 2 nasty crashes. I think it's great that riders like him are given the opportunity to ride in the Gp's, and i'd rather watch him ride any day than Snotty..or even, dare I say it...Bomber ! I agree about Tai.....definitely need him in the GP's !
  4. It is the 10th July! Well, has been for the last 3 months anyway......
  5. Thanks - was wondering the same. Am coming to this too....looking forward to it ! my second time at Brandon - first was the SWC last year. Might get to get say "hi" this time Jacques...?
  6. Such a shame that Miss Blue had Shergar's teeth in........
  7. Radio Times......??!! Sky Planner still showing Espanyol @ 7pm, so it seems it is still red button.....boooooooo!! There'll be no pausing, re-winding, and replaying for me tonight then....
  8. Ok if you are able to do that..unfortunately we have people coming round and so had planned to record it....
  9. Great post, and totally agree! I love the Poles.... I loved them at Cardiff this year and last, and I loved them last night ! They are so excitable and patriotic, and certainly know how to enjoy themsleves. Some of us staid Brits ought to loosen up a bit and take a leaf out of their books ! I could sit and watch their antics for hours ! Had an amazing time last night - didn't want the evening to end ! Wish I was going to Lezno.....
  10. Another good point ! After we came out we actually went to Cardiff Bay and ate in a lovely Italian restaurant overlooking the bay.
  11. Plenty of people I should think..... And anyway - who doesn't want to go to the Millenium Stadium? Yes, the floors are sticky from years worth of beer (and worse) on them - but Wembley will be the same in a few years time..... There is just something special about the Millenium stadium too - makes you feel "wow" when you look at it. I didn't get that at Wembley. And I stated earlier the whole getting there/seat views/atmosphere/safety/spaciousness/relaxing environment etc makes Cardiff a clear winner. I don't like football or rugby, but if someone invited me to go to Cardiff to watch a match I think I could be persuaded. But Wembley.... no way !
  12. Yep ! I only live 40 miles from London, but could have got home from Cardiff quicker last night......
  13. Yeah, am not expecting them until end of next week to be honest ! 6-7 days before is about right ....
  14. Well, I was at the millenium Stadium on Saturday, and Wembley Stadium last night, and i just hope to God they keep the GP at Cardiff. I found the stewards at Cardiff to be much more amenable, friendly and accomodating. The ones at wembley were just jobsworths tbh ! As for the stadium itself - I much prefer Cardiff with good views from every angle. I felt at Cardiff that if you needed to get out quickly, this would be much simpler than Wembley, where it felt much more closed in. Queues for toilets were ridiculous - have never experienced toilet queues at Cardiff. And the final straw was the car park. Left Wembley stadium last night at 10.30pm and finally left the car park at 0045 !! 2 hours 15 minutes of sitting in a car park ! People were getting irate, the police came but said they couldn't do anything such as open more exits as it was "down to the Wembley Stadium management." In the end people were removing barriers themselves ! And then the jobsworth stewards were returning and putting cones back ! We went back to the building to see if we could go back in to use the toilets in the stadium but were told no ! It was just a joke. ! The roof at wembley is only partial too, and the sun was quite unbearable sitting in our seats - and I am a sun lover! Also made it impossible to see the stage with the sun in your eyes. So, Millenium Stadium everytime for me - a much more pleasurable and relaxing environment altogether ! What does anyone else think?
  15. Am very relieved to hear you are okay (well, relatively so). And I agree with Pudding - they should have cut short the other entertainment - not the junior races !
  16. I'm glad this thread is on here. Looked nasty and I have been wanting to know how the poor lad is ever since. I too, was furious that the rest of the junior races had been cancelled - it was ridiculous. Freddie was good, but those ballon things went on a bit and surely could have been cut short......
  17. Wow - you will love it ! Great seats ! Much better than lower tier ! Front row - lucky thing ! I'm still doing a bit of arm-twisitng to book our tickets this early !
  18. Crikey - good job I didn't buy my Danish flag in the end then........ I don't get it.....I'm English, but what would be wrong with me waving a Danish flag? I don't only support the Brits. I support other riders regardless of their Nationality. I had a huge Union Jack which I was waving, but I would have happily waved a Danish one too alongside it.
  19. Blimey.....didn't realise all this was going on whilst I was singing and happily waving my flag in my seat..... Funnily enough, once again we found the Poles to be very nice. We had a fair few drunk ones all around us, but they were hysterical, dancing and waving their flags. and I would agree with others that the Brits are far worse when they are drunk. Am shocked to hear of all the fights that went on.
