  1. We were top tier, middle of the back straight, and i thought the sound was fantastic. Yes, it was loud, but not too loud, and not distorted at all ! Personally, I like the Queen tribute band - thought they were great. I agree that the "come on England" thing was bad and did make me cringe.... Can't wait to book for next year !!
  2. I got a pit-walk last year cos it was included in my VIP ticket. But tbh, you're not missing much ! The best bit about it is when you leave the pits and walk out into the stadium......just takes your breath away !
  3. Yeah, saw that last night - am really chuffed too, cos thought I was going to miss it, due to the fact I will be in Cardiff on Friday night !! Bit silly really - they ought to put it on a few days before really, for that reason ! Anyhow, I'm alright Jack as I will watch it tonight !! Lol !! And Cardiff in all it's HD glory to watch recorded when I get home !! :approve:
  4. What block are you in Sue - we are top tier also !
  5. What do you mean? We recorded it on Sky and it was fine......
  6. Oh Mark.....I didn't realise you were a Nicki lover - never noticed your sig !! I agree - but for some reason it's entertaining and funny seeing Crumpy have a strop - but even just catching sight of NP on screen makes my blood boil. It's more to do with the way he thinks he is above everyone else (and I'm not talking about his riding !), with his b****y clutch cooler on his face all the time for a start. Why does he do that.....! Perhaps it's the menopause....!
  7. Well said ! Couldn't have put it better myself. It annoys me so much that people treat him like God and he thinks he is some diva who deserves special attention. He is a bad loser. Crump and Adams, on the other hand, are both fantastic riders also, but who have the likeability factor to boot, and accept things like real sportsmen if they have made a mistake.
  8. Start/finish line block already sold out - get booking guys.....!
  9. Hmmmmmm......could be ok. I like Queen - but not tribute acts.... But i think it could work - "Who wants to live forever", "we are the champions", and I'll certainly be singing along to my fav "don't stop me now" !
  10. Ha ha !! Well, I guess you wo't be able to afford your own after splashing out on middle tier tickets !!
  11. Think we should ask Stiltonpanthers' other woman, Lilia Kopylova..she'll know !
  12. It's weird - his own website spells it with a "y", and Wikipedia has a totally different spelling with an "i" !! Personally, I think the "j" looks best !!
  13. Totally agree Jacques ! But those tickets are £70 and we just couldn't do it for 5 of us........ Maybe next year if the credit crunch has eased. Lol !!
  14. So then why is it the dearest tickets are on the middle tier.....? And the best seats in the house (VIP - blocks M8,9,10) are in the middle tier too? But I will say that I don't think there are any "bad" seats at all at Cardiff.... ! The way the stadium is designed you get a pretty good view from wherever you are. It is a matter of opinion and preference - and I was merely stating mine. Snyper - I am guessing you watch your speedway standing up, pretty much at track level....? For me, I prefer to be higher, looking down on the track. For me personally, that is a better view of the track and the racing.
  15. Generally the middle tier is always the most expensive, and is the best view . Not too high, not too low. The middle tier along the start line (M8,M9,M10) is reserved for VIP (where I was lucky enough to be last year ! ). And the middle tier along the back straight, the front 3 or 4 rows are for hospitality. Generally the top priced seats (think it's about £82 and £70) are in the middle tier, along the straights, and are great seats. Once you get to the lower priced tickets £29 and family tickets, they are either on the bends (yuk....too far from track I think), or the back of lower or upper tiers, at the ends (yuk too). I personally wouldn't reccommend the lower tiers, as they block off a lot of the first rows for speedway (safety I guess) and you get a better view from higher up. Don't know what anyone else thinks. The £67 tickets are lower tier, but on the start line straight, and the £60 tickets are middle tier, but on the bends. £52 tickets are a mixture of lower and upper tiers, both back straights and bends. Spent a whole day last week looking into this. Really wanted the £70 seats that were available, but being a family of 5,couldn't justify spending £350 !! So am in the upper tier, back straight. It's where my husband and children sat last year, and they had a great view. A bargain at £104 for 5 of us.
  16. Why don't you get your tickets til on the day...? Why not get them now, and then you can go to p & p. It's not like it could be rained off or anything....!? I am looking forward to being able to go to practice - have 2 nights booked into hotel, so it's great news !
  17. Emil certainly livened up what was otherwise a boring GP. I love him - very exciting to watch...just the breath of fresh air the GP's need. Ha ha, I did laugh my socks off when Nikki didn't even make the final....... Shame Lindgren didn't win, but was really chuffed for Emil - and what a nice chap too !
