  1. And I'll have 50p on DK bettering both of em
  2. Anyone know when press and practice is? The Billy Sanders memorial on the 19th, meet the riders night on Wednesday the 18th, so I'm guessing P&P on the Monday/Tuesday?
  3. Thats a shame. Hopefully Panthers get good guests and it's still a good meeting. Definitely devalues the product with all these double uppers constantly missing fixtures here and there, it can be so frustrating as we found out with Ellis last year. It'll be interesting to see how Robert Lambert gets on in the Billy Sanders memorial and how he handles Foxhall. I initially thought it was a good fixture for him to get some Foxhall laps under his belt with Good Friday just around the corner.
  4. I don't really care how he qualifies tbh, as long as he does that's good enough for me.
  5. Now confirmed by the club that the sponsors licence is in place. Slowly getting there.
  6. Mmmm a bit behind a few others then! I read on a Poole press release that Chris Holder will wait for up to three weeks from applying for his Visa to recieve it, so if we still haven't got the sponsor licence yet, the two riders look favourite to miss a few meetings at the start of the season? Fingers crossed they are available for the Good Friday fixtures, because the attendance already looks like taking a hit with Ipswich town playing a few hours later at home. Missing Tungate and Manzares could see even more stay away which would be a big blow to the promotion who rely on the bank holiday "money spinners".
  7. @batchattack1: Me and @rohantungate just finished a morning sesh at @CrossFit_ISC in Ipswich good bunch of people down there 👍 Tweet from Troy Batchelor, so now we know for certain Rohan is in the UK. Holiday Visa presumably?
  8. Yes it would be rather embarrassing! You have to think he surely knows though and must have been given assurances that the qualifying criteria is met. Just gotta hope they don't take too long in arriving and they're here for the start of the season. Gonna be tight by the looks of things.
  9. @Mike_Bacon: @ipswichspeedway fans Latest on visa issues. Just spoke to CL, no worries with @Gino_Manzares or @rohantungate visas. Both meet criteria. Tweet from Mike Bacon this morning. We can breathe easy(er)!
  10. Think we all did! Was an excellent debut season and will be a crying shame if he's not granted a Visa. Just have to carry on waiting but the clock is ticking fast..
  11. Well the countdown clock on the official website says 25 days, and still no word on whether the club have even regained their sponsors license yet let alone the riders' visas. Perhaps we'll know a little more this week. I see Mike Bacon hasn't tweeted anything for over a week so perhaps he's been on his Hollibobs hence the lack of any information. Or possibly not.
  12. Thanks for that spanner47 lets hope that's correct. All very well some on here stating that this or that rider does/doesn't meet the criteria, when the fact is none of us know exactly what that criteria is.
  13. Just watched the Berwick meeting on DVD from rerun productions as that was one of a few meetings I missed last season, what a cracker! Superb meeting.
  14. Is it Ryan Douglas and Alex Davies that require visas at Scunny? Think both those two meet the qualifying criteria don't they? Will be interesting to see what they have to say in the morning.
  15. Mark Loram. All action racer and you knew you'd get your money's worth when he was in town.
  16. It's for Cook as the Ipswich Star reported the other day that Louis is confident he'll be there, but he's yet to officially confirm. Obviously the line up could change depending on the outcome of the Visa issues.
  17. Maybe the Workington boys were top of the list and are slowly working their way down.. Question is, was Gino near the top of the list and Louis already has the thumbs up hence the "no issues" comment only a few days ago, or is it a case of no issues SO FAR and they haven't got to our boys yet.. The fact is he hasn't finished in the top 4 of a state championship or acquired the magical 7.00 average, so unless some other criteria qualifies that hasn't been publicly mentioned, then perhaps we should prepare for disappointment also..
  18. Well they didn't accept them at first because they appealed the initial rejection didn't they? After their appeal was also rejected they had no choice but to accept it and sign replacements. My point is this was a few weeks ago now so the other clubs affected will surely now know whether their riders will or won't be granted visas once applied.
  19. Exactly. If they knew, then others should also know if any application would be accepted/rejected? the promotion must have had a green light of sorts that there are "no issues" with the riders getting their visas once applied for.
  20. Probably, but it's not as if the PL was a stepping stone last year and this year he's going full time EL as he signed on again for PL. So maybe Louis was expecting to get more than just one year out of him? Plenty of us had Worrall on our wish lists and maybe he was on Louis' too we'll never know, but it sounds as though retaining him this year was never an option to the club rather than them not wanting him.
  21. According to Chris Louis there are "no issues" regarding visa's for both Rohan Tungate AND Gino Manzares, but the process of getting them is a slow one and slower than he'd like. Both riders are pencilled in for the start of the season although Louis accepts they may miss the opening period. Do you read the Speedway Star Baldy? There was an interesting Ipswich section in there this week, with Chris Louis stating that he sees Morten Risager's move away as a temporary one and that he'll be back at Foxhall. Same can't be said of Ritchie Worrall though. Louis said that Worrall only treated Ipswich as a "stepping stone" and the article gave the impression that hell will freeze over before we see Worrall in Witches kevlars again!
  22. Not too bad then TBF. We're always going to miss someone of King's calibre in the PL and although he hadn't signed for anyone else at the time we signed him, we always knew he'd do a deal with an EL club at some point so clashes were inevitable. Just gotta put up with it I suppose. Annoyingly Nielsen will miss a handful of meetings also but we knew that too.
