  1. Spot on with the amount of cradley fans shads.I reckon there was about 30 of us where has the first couple of years we were back there was well into 3 figures.same at home meetings tho.no shock it was called off after 11 heats,I enjoyed what we saw but British weathers a nightmare for speedway.well done rye tho well deserved.we certainly seem to be lacking something this year
  2. Fair enough if the delays are unavoidable there's not a lot you can do
  3. I wasn't there so should not comment and riders health always come first obviously.to anyone who was there did the first meeting get run as quickly as it should have?if not then I'd say that's why fans may feel hard done to.again I wasn't there , just wondering if there was the usual as if no one had any urgency getting the meetings run
  4. I don't think the problem is that the bikes are that much quicker speed wise but I think they react quicker if that makes sense giving the riders very little time to react themselves
  5. Bikes are to powerful I don't think anyone can deny that,in days gone by the rider decided what the bike did but now it's almost as if the rider has to react after the bike makes it's own move.the injuries today would be even worse without the air fences so that alone proves the bikes are to powerful.just imagine the injuries without the air fences
  6. Me and my lot are wondering why we bother,at least they gave us our money back.I was told at about 5.15 that the ref had just done a track inspection and decided it was unfit for racing.surely this should have been done earlier.it must have been pretty obvious if racing was possible before 5.15
  7. First time I've seen ward in the flesh for a while but he really is at a different level.there should never be different rules for riders but I hope he's back in the gps next year.might not be right in a way but he is special Track looked good to me
  8. But don't you think without the wc there will be something missing in his career.I'm sure in years to come he will look back and regret his decision
  9. Emil can win as many secs as he likes but without a wc against he's name he won't be remembered as a great
  10. Speedway should be advertised as a nasty dangerous sport with danger and thrills paramount.not a friendly happy product .those days have long gone
  11. obviously im a fan of greg but imagine if this had been the other way round. I reckon nicki would have got a 3 month ban!!!!!!!
  12. I know there will be a logical answer to this but why didn't they just build the houses where the new stadium is going and then leave the track as it is and just knock the stadium down around it and build a new stadium around the old track because swindons track is generally ok! I realise I'm proberly being thick but seems simpler to me
  13. Hancock had gate 3 twice, the reason he didn't get through.swings and roundabouts I suppose
  14. I reckon muller would have had a very slight chance the pole however no chance.then again isn't that why the one offs added excitement.however I prefer the gps
  15. No chance of us catching them, well deserved brummies
  16. For all the hatred aimed at Poole surely all teams should aspire to be like them.except the dodgy bits of course.sorry couldn't resist the last bit
  17. Speedway is so outdated but when you think about it,why.4 riders going around on powerful motorbikes with no brakes.it should be the most dangerous and exciting of sports.that's the way it should be marketed.not as a Cosy family sport
  18. Just had interview for a job and when asked about hobbies I said speedway and he said that used to be really popular what happened? I just said we avnt got time to go into it!
  19. I love your optimism ! Looking forward to your comments after the meeting!
  20. 2meetings at Coventry on one day,I'd pack supper as well Gemini!
  21. Went to this meeting 3 or 4 years ago and it was rubbish but the line up looks a cracker this year. Very tempted
